@Mal when i said upgrade its obvious that you have to change the cpu and all the others later, those are a chain reaction, but don't make that dramatic it doesn't cost that much!

 

and lastly, i am not saying those fans to stfu because "i" have a better computer, i say "hey dude if you wanna play a 2009-2010 game, you cant do it with a 1999-2001 system, get some money and upgrade your self, until then don't complain" no matter how low specs a game will try to reach in order to be more playable, it has a certain limit guys you cant ask for glorious graphics and visual effects but in Dos capable PCs!

people find and spend hilarious amounts for mobile phone that kills us every single day using them, or we buy new cars cause the old one isnt safe and fast enought, but when it cames to PC hardware suddenly they demand to go backworks all the time! mercy!

 

also about the HD quality oh come one, i dont say not to have SD also (by the way the HD part 2 of the saw ia all out of sync audio-video duh)

but you know even if you cant upgrade your p4 and you have an AGP there are also those solutions that will work great with your CPU.

GPU performs better in 3D with a good CPU yes, BUT GPU HDCP decoding has NOTHING to do with CPU abilties! it will decode a 720p the same in my 4core 3.0ghz cpu with your p4 2,2 ghz cpu, if you have the right card to do this! thats why those cards have HDCP capability thats why they where made for to uload the work from the CPU, and let them do the job easier and better!

 

starting from very low prices and you will be able to decode HD, once you see a true HD video-movie, you will never want to go back ;-)

 

and lastly, yes RAM makes a HUGE difference, for example if you have now a P4 at 2.4Ghz with 512 RAM, get your self 3 GByte and you will see how the systems loads, reacts performs, it will bemuch faster but if you change your 2.4ghz to a 2.8ghz you will NOT notice that diffference if you leave the 512 on board, everything you are working its always uploaded in your RAM, no matter how fast the cpu loads or uploads stuf it does it in you RAM, so if you dont have enough room there you just tiring your cpu and hdd from all the loading-writeing ram-hdd all the time, and you dont gain any performance.

 

cpu is your heart

but ram is your lung! no matter how blood you can produce if you cant breath enough oxygen you will always be tired!

ok the GPU is maybe a d*ck, the more strong the better performs ;-) LOL

Mal is correct, it's not just a gimmick, Microsoft also gimmick on that too, they put the fake number on the outside while the real number is hidden from view completely. Imagine if you carve a statue, the huge rock you carved has tons of rocks you don't want, and the ending result is you get a smaller statue, that means you had wasted a lot of rocks just to perfect a smaller statue. Same case for my connection, 100Mbits / sec on the outside as seen on your Windows taskbar, but it's a lot slower like 100kb / sec (If connection left idle) or less on the inside. If we really have 100Mbits / sec as the real connection instead of the fake like I described, we can download whatever movies all in just 1 or 2 days rather than weeks or months.

 

Let me guess, despite complaining your 100mbps to your ISP service hotlines, they'll come up with excuses, or temporary boost speed to your home internet and verify everything is alright, the moment you put down that phone the speed drops back to 56.6kbps? :lol:

Yes I have to agree most of the stuff you said, and I found your idea of relating PC parts to our body parts hilarious (what bout tri/quad SLI or CrossFire folks, multiple Ahem?). I did not state that GPU HDCP decoding has to do with CPU stuff. One thing for sure, at this moment right now, all of us can't do much right now for all those who's using backward systems. And back to this topic, I'm hoping APOC and/or the EALA guys do a SD format of the shows for everyone (those with slow connections and those who having problems playing HD or HQ videos for crying out loud). Not too sure if they ever update on their iTunes podcast videos with these BCPT though.

I never phone them at all, Mal. What the service provides are like this, they just do this for the sake of advertising. Even Microsoft also did the same, fake number on the Windows taskbar. AND I'm using a broadband modem, not a dial-up, those old 56k are already outdated and I don't want to use them. If I would to use a 56k, the real speed is more like 5kb, that's what I experience when I was Australia, where the country's bandwidth is limited if you already exceed its monthly capacity.

Uh, what speed does your ISP tell you you are paying for? The taskbar doesn't tell you what speed you're paying for at all. It tells you what the maximum throughput your router or modem or network card can handle. My router is a gigabit router so my taskbar shows that it is physically capable of 1Gbps but that kind of speed doesn't even exist outside of major College University fiber backbones. What we actually get from our ISP is roughly 20Mbps.

Well, Bob, I know what you're asking, but I can't seem to describe the answer. From what I know is, my Windows taskbar shows the line is 100Mbits / sec, connected by cable. And when I want to download normal things like Youtube videos, the maximum download rate is 30kbits / sec.

@silver i didnt read all the latest dialogs but what your taskbar says IsNot your internet connection! thats just the speed from your PC untill the Router! the router/moem of your must have an ip adress, check your taskbar netowork icon (right click status) and look what IP you have for Gateway example

your ip 192.168.2.3

gateway 192.168.2.1

 

open an iexplorer and type that gateway i.p 192.168.2.1 if you see and interface asking for user/password try Admin/admin

depenting on your router search you menou for ADSL or line status-statistics and THERE you will see your true Internet connection.

True, Bob, when Ooyala is quite troublesome, it's best to have it downloaded. And the HD format is time & space consuming, not everyone are onto the many gigs they have in their hard disk, there are some still go economical such as 80gb.

I don't see a huge problem on that, tongue piercing is ok for him even if he does have his tongue pierced. It's not something so obvious or attention catching. A huge tattoo or a bald head does really get our attentions when appear on TV.

I don't see a huge problem on that, tongue piercing is ok for him even if he does have his tongue pierced. It's not something so obvious or attention catching. A huge tattoo or a bald head does really get our attentions when appear on TV.

I thought, BTW, that it was great to see more of Joe as host, but that he is wasted as a co-anchor. I continue to fear that too much of Joe will lessen his charisma/shine. I think a permanent spot devalues him as a superstar

 

I'd rather Kane do 'spots' like Apoc's corner... I think he has enough material to do a "10 things you don't know about Kane" every single BCPT episode for instance.

 

I think Raj needs a co-host, but it didn't need to be a superstar like Joe. I still think a female co-host would have been nice, but perhaps the dynamics don't work with Raj too well. I noticed that we didn't have the full compliment of 4 commentators for the main event. And I really noticed the change-up in commentary from the 'full' match and the shortened highlight match.

 

I enjoyed the banter with Sam Bass, but then I was never expecting any serious, hard-core, information to be shared.

 

The longer commentary seems really flat in comparison to the edited highlights with a scripted commentary by Raj. I'm just contrasting that to the excellent GR commentary which followed the ebb and flow of the matches. I'm not sure how to fix that, maybe more over-the-top commentary??? Even though the commentary was underwhelming, I really liked the 'chemistry' between Raj and Feasel. I think they worked together well.

 

I liked this episode, it's hard not to smile and laugh whenever Joe is around, but I just worry about the future of the show, all the pieces are not fitting together yet.

I'm not certain how the lessen charisma/shine will go but for now I feel leave it as it is for a couple of episodes and we'll see about that. Do take note that too much changes (change in cast and stuff) may ruin the overall show.
