Sonic 296 Posted November 11, 2009 YouTube have apparently suspended the CNCNZ.com YouTube channel - http://www.youtube.com/CNCNZcom, I received no warnings from YouTube, last time I checked the CNCNZ.com account was in good standing. This means close to 3 years of video uploads is now gone. Including past projects like Tiberium Legos, LiveWire etc.... Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted November 11, 2009 I've contacted the YouTube Accounts people, I don't expect access to the CNCNZ.com account to be restored. You don't even get to ask why. Man I'm pissed off!! Share this post Link to post

PurpleGaga27 40 Posted November 12, 2009 Maybe CNCNZ has some inactivity in YouTube lately. It's so odd why most old videos in YouTube cannot be kept for a long time. Will Tiberium Legos videos be saved? Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted November 12, 2009 They don't suspend accounts inactivity. Accounts are suspended for breaches of the terms and conditions, like uploading copyrighted material. The CNCNZ.com account had our own created videos like TIberium Legos, LiveWire and our cool stuff from CommandCOM. We also had trailers from EA for C&C3, KW, RA3 and C&C4 and EA allow their content to be shared on YouTube. In the 2 (almost 3) years I've managed it I've had a total 2 videos removed due to claims form other publishers. I can only assume it has been suspended in error. I've filed a complaint through the appropriate contacts but it could a long time before I hear anything. As for Tiberium Legos being uploaded again, I don't have backups of them at all. Sonic 296 Posted November 12, 2009 Haven't heard from Zee for almost a year now. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted November 12, 2009 I've spoken to him on the phone and through letters but he's still without Internet right now. He'll be back, but salvage what you can Sonic. We can host it here on our server... Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted November 12, 2009 As for Tiberium Legos being uploaded again, I don't have backups of them at all. Well actually sometime ago, I downloaded all Tiberium Legos episodes into FLV format (all high quality from YouTube) and saved them as backups. But with Tiberium Legos cancelled, why are we expected to bring them back up into YouTube again? Besides I still want Zee Hypnotist to finish Tiberium Legos with a series finale. It's better if Zee uploads them again because he's the one who created the series and has the highest quality videos there. Share this post Link to post
recover 2 Posted November 12, 2009 Hmm... From my experience they usually only ban accounts/block videos that are reported by copyright holders. Two my videos that I uploaded to YouTube have been blocked since there was some music in them. They are blocked in all countries except in the US, where they have ads. Also, I have the opportunity to challenge the claims of the copyright holders. I think that since the CNCNZ.com account had so much stuff uploaded, someone (EA or Google) made the decision to ban the account. These reports are most likely done at an entirely different division of EA and mistakes are likely to happen. I think that the fastest route might be to contact Apoc and he might be able to contact their legal department. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted November 12, 2009 The CNCNZ.com account only had the game trailers that were publicly available and EA allow them to be distributed on YouTube. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted November 16, 2009 The CNCNZ.com account only had the game trailers that were publicly available and EA allow them to be distributed on YouTube. Sometimes Google (YouTube) thinks they're acting on behalf of the company. Still might be worth to contact APOC (EA) to tell YouTube "Hey, they can host that stuff". Share this post Link to post
tchutch 4 Posted November 20, 2009 it is really strange. Sometimes some of our videos (channel tchutchsaga - as big and old as your channel) are blocked (always at the request of Gametrailers) but i give our EA accreditation in the YouTube claim module and the videos come back. i hope your channel come back. Sonic 296 Posted November 20, 2009 Its gone and never coming back. Once YouTube suspend them that's basically it. I'm making plans to get the unique videos like Tiberium Legos back online somewhere. Could be a new YouTube channel, could be something else. Weighing up my options and testing things right now. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted November 20, 2009 First of all, when a YouTube account gets suspended, how long does it get suspended? Forever? I thought revoking the account might have made more sense for this. I am not sure this activity might have been coincidental with the activities of EA laying off workers and shutting down operations elsewhere. So if YouTube can't have a CNCNZ channel now, shall it have a new name when Tiberium Legos are back? Were there any other video backups that CNCNZ did have before, Sonic? And one more thing: does Zee Hypnotist either have Skype, Facebook, Twitter or even a MySpace page? Share this post Link to post

How could a few layoffs at EA have anything to do with YouTube suspending the CNCNZ.com channel? Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted November 21, 2009 First of all, when a YouTube account gets suspended, how long does it get suspended? Forever? Yeah basically forever. Its history. If I try to access it I get this.... So if YouTube can't have a CNCNZ channel now, shall it have a new name when Tiberium Legos are back? Were there any other video backups that CNCNZ did have before, Sonic? I've decided to open a new YouTube channel, with a slightly different name. It will only be hosting specifically unique content like Tiberium Lego and some of our more recent CommandCom stuff. All of the other videos were C&C3/KW/RA3 trailers, they can be found elsewhere on YouTube and other sources so I won't waste time uploading new copies of them. And one more thing: does Zee Hypnotist either have Skype, Facebook, Twitter or even a MySpace page? No idea. I only have an old e-mail address. Share this post Link to post
Malevolence 6 Posted November 21, 2009 I think you just email youtube and wait patiently for a response. Such things happened to other youtube subscribers before. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted November 21, 2009 Look at the picture above. See that line with the little e-mail icon? I clicked that link to contact them about this, all you do give them your e-mail address and an alternate contact address. It then says they will contact you if they require any more information. They do them on a case by case basis so it could be weeks or months before anything is done. No worth pissing around with to be honest. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted November 24, 2009 One more question for this topic thread: when will the new YouTube Channel for CNCNZ be up, including the return of Tiberium Legos? Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted November 24, 2009 Early next week is the best I can do. The new channel can be found here http://www.youtube.com/CNCNZ365 Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted November 24, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/CNCNZ365 CNCNZ365? Was that your first replacement choice? Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted November 25, 2009 365 days a year for CNCNZ actually fits the description, because it's here every day. Why not rename this forum and site to be called as CNCNZ365? Share this post Link to post
