"Rock your Face"... I don't get it?

 

I found the shack report after trying to confirm some information I saw in a gamespot email. But what caught my idea was a release date on Gamespot for Feb 2011... in an email. When I checked the website it was only TBC. Now when I look at it, it says "The heart of the Swarm TBC 2011" and "Legacy of the Void TBC 2012". It means nothing but gives an indication of probable timeline.

Why would it take too long to make an expansion pack? This reminds me of Valve going slow steam on a HL2 expansion pack through Episodes One and Two. HL2 EP1 was released over 12 months and so is HL2 EP2.

BTW... Gamespot still have SC2:HOTS as Feb 2011 release date in their recent email release... not that it means much just an indication.

I just hope the campaigns won't be parts of the WoL campaign so that all three campaigns is more or less the same story but from different angles.

Fairly sure they're sequential not concurrent.

 

You follow Kerrigan around as she rebuilds the Zerg. Though not sure how that will work given the end of WOL.. But who knows.

I'm not sure if Kerrigan is still the leader of the Zerg after the artifact 'healed' her. Blizzard won't be as obvious as Kerrigan again. Someone new should be stepping up, or so I would hope.

Maybe, but I doubt it. I mean the overmind is dead and all his cerebrates. Besides she still had that funky hair, which I'd assume means she still part Zerg. Besides the whole side mission with the Protoss was all about her importance...

But it doesn't specify where her importance lies. She could still be important while non-infested.

As of now, the voting poll is now a three-way tie.

 

I thought SCII is better than COH but ratings now show that COH had much better ratings. Both of them have eleven perfect 100 critic scores according to Metacritic.

Sooo... finally finished the SP on the weekend.

I'd give it an 8/10. Overall disappointed, because I expected perfection and nothing less.

 

Loved the SP mechanics of upgrades, research and choice with consequences, loved tychus, disliked the storyline.

- I think Kerrigan's 'salvation' should have been hinted at the end of WOL not resolved at the end of WOL!

- Unless Raynor was drinking Star Trek's synthehol - I was unimpressed with the supernatural switching from drunk to master fighter.

- I was extremely disappointed with the early re-introduction of the zerg, when I expected more terrans v terrans missions in the first 10. More Raynor v Mengsk.

- I was disappointed we got to play as Protoss but not Zerg (laboratory research could surely have given us an appropriate opportunity to test zerg control.

 

I only achieved 40% of the achievements at the end and halfway reverted to normal difficulty. But I was really surprised how much of an emotional decision I had to make when choosing between Tosh and Nova. I wanted to keep Tosh, but Nova was my pick. Now I wonder if Blizzard will publish some stats on the choices people made in the campaign.

 

I played 1 melee game vs AI as well over weekend because I knew it was going to be different units compared to SP. I was suprised when the AI offered to surrender, but laughed out loud when a minute later it PM'd me "GG". Ha - still makes me smile.

Whilst Tosh is just wicked awesome, 'loyal' and gives you spectres. Which are better, and his mission is better.

I'm beginning to find the custom map aspect of SCII more attractive than the normal multiplayer part.

It's nice that they have brought all those things from the Warcraft III custom map scene into SCII as well. Mainly speaking of tower defenses, income wars, etc.
