they're also weak against buildings when in the battle fortresses.

I doubt it, more like some one forgot the numbers, or put the wrong warhead on them.

huh...the demo truck has weak armour. easy to blow up before it reaches the base at the cost of 1 tank..

or none... use 2 harriers... no offence... demo trucks sucks... too dangerous... let's say you're keeping it in the base until you can create a diversion so the demo can get into the enemy's base. i can send 2 harriers and kick your base a nice low blow... especially around expensive weak things...

robot tanks are weak too. ordinary infantry: Gi, conscript, initiates rip them up so bad...

but the battle fottress is the best overall

Or to be evil you can nuke a base that has a few demo trucks preping for an assault

The Destruction..........would be devasting, to be sure.

You have to be pretty stupid to have demo trucks beside your base....

umm... not right beside your mcv.. but in your "base parameter"... why? because the demos need to be protected... i don't know.. it is hard to protect out of your base..

Not what I meant. I mean when you hear the nuke launch you're going to move the demo trucks away from your base... Then once the nuke hits you move them back. :)

If you're allies prism tanks. They can shoot further than the base defenses, and since it's not besides the MCV, and near those base defenses, they're doomed. And I'm not even talking abou the defenses near them  . And if apocs come rushing through just have a pack of about 15 prisms ready and they'll maybe destroy ONE single tank.

BTW prism tanks are SO effective against yuri.... only masterminds or floating disks can oppose 'em. Bu that's where the GGI-filled-battle fortress and tanya come in!

Master mind range is too small, a pack or prisims would eat 'em.

When a tank or other vehicle is being blasted by prisim tanks, the target vehicle's ability to "drive" is drastically reduced. Meaning that a great way to slow a pack of tanks down so the artillery can smah 'em is to have prism tanks hit them.

umm... then why don't you use GI's? they GREATLY slow down any tank.. and rip it apart in groups...

Except prisms kill Gis in 1-2 hits, the shots bounce, and the prisms outrange the troops. Masterminds out range the troops too.

No masterminds mostly take a few GI shots, but then they mindcontrol all GIs causing them to overload. But I never take a mastermind alone, I use a Yuri-clone or so to kill the infantry. Virus may work as well.

For me playing as the Allies, I like to use Grizzlies and BFs filled with SEALS and GGIs with Prism, air, infantry and Mirage support (as situations require). As the Soviets, I use Apocalypses and Rhinos with V3, air, Terror Drone, Siege Chopper, and infantry support (as situations require). I don't play as Yuri much, so my tactics aren't as well laid out for his army.

So basically you use every unit available.

For me its like this:

Allies: Prism with Miages OR tons of Carriers OR commando raids with Tanya, Seals, and Snipers

Soviets: Apocs left and right, down the center while I'm at it. If its a small map then just Rhinos everywhere. Desolators scattered in the base for paratroop defense with some flak

Yuri: Whatever I feel like. Sometimes long drawn out harrasment opperations, or swarms of Lashers, or maybe 3 Disks draining credits, power, and health.

My votes, in this order:

1. Prisms. Generally enough on their own, but sometimes they need to be backed up with a few IFVs to defend against air. I've noticed that the game can essentially be broken down to 'whoever has the most prism tanks wins.' It's true most of the time.

2. Battle fortresses with 1 sniper, 1 chrono and 3 GGIs. They just own stuff. It's true that the GGIs are a bit weak when inside for some really annoying reason. But they let them drop air pretty quickly, and the range is pretty damn big, they can still take out tanks quite well. The sniper is essential. Try it against Yuri. He'll hate you for it. The Chrono is very good too because it lets them take out things like Tesla Coils and Prism Towers in one shot instead of having to sit back for an hour waiting for the GGIs to do it. Whoever said it makes the other shots useless is wrong. The other shots will just fire at anything that comes close whilst the Chrono is sucking the target out of time. Check it out. It rules.

3. Gattling tanks. Sure, they lose 1-on-1 with most vehicles, but they drop infantry and aircraft so fast they're easily one of the most cost-effective units you can get. Especially since if it weren't for them, Yuri would stand little-to-no chance against rocketeers at all.

Rhinos are very good too, but they suck against infantry, air, prisms, terror drones, Brutes, Yuri,... too much stuff, considering they're not so cheap.

Anyways, that's my vote!

Yeah...Prism Tanks are a favourite unit of mine- never go on a base assault without a a few of 'em. And Battle Fortresses, when combined wioth the right infantry, can indeed be devastating (SEAL/Sniper with 4 GGIs, for example).

Ever see a Battle Fortress with Tesla troops? Interesting. Bit weak on range, but devastating. And they will charge a coil (or two) much better than a few Tesla troops would. But more importantly, they are devastating in battle.

I usually fill up a BF with 3 GIs and 2 GGIs or 2 GIs and 3 GGIs. I sometimes put in a sniper too. A virus if I have access to the Yuri tech tree

Yeah, that sounds alot better than alot of the other combos I was seeing. GIs in battle fortresses are lethal for base assualts. I never really fell in love with Chrono legionaries- they take to long to varporize things. Seals are great but can get expensive. I'd rather use G.I.s.

Lately I've started to abuse telsa tanks with the Soviets. They're lethal on infantry and terror drones, and they chew up apocs like none other. They don't have a high fire rate but they're speedy and they hit hard. That's a cruical characteristic when you're facing tough units like loaded BFs. You need somethin that will get a damaging shot off before it succumbs.

Yeah I agree, mirages are very difficult when there is lag.
