J-Fire_Man 0 Posted June 26, 2004 I love McDonald, their fries is the best. But, for the chicken I more like the one from KFC Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted June 26, 2004 KFC is ok though it seems real greasy where I get it. Subway is the bomb.... Though it's pretty expensive for what you get.... Slab pizzas from pizza hut rock... And don't forget the old fish n' chips... Though if ya don't live in NZ ya probably won't know what i'm on about.... Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted June 26, 2004 I haven't eat fish 'n chips, but it's odd, what's the good of combining fish and chips? It should be chick 'n chips, that's match, chickhen and chips plus ketchup. Share this post Link to post
Thierry 0 Posted June 26, 2004 I like a good chicken with fries anyday. Aren't we kinda off topic? Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted June 26, 2004 Yes! Sub Way is awsome! Here the Sub Way is next to a McDonnalds and Burger King and I always go into Sub Way. Thats basically how it is here in my town, their all grouped together. I haven't eat fish 'n chips, but it's odd, what's the good of combining fish and chips? It should be chick 'n chips, that's match, chickhen and chips plus ketchup. Fish & Chips is a New Zealand thing I guess. Battered fish deep fried. Its wrapped in newspaper. KFC is ok though it seems real greasy where I get it. I had KFC for dinner on Friday night. It was crap. The chicken tasted awful KFC just isn't what it used be anymore. Damn its now 1 AM and I'm really hungry all of a sudden  Share this post Link to post
Phreakly 0 Posted June 26, 2004 Fish and chips is good anywhere in the Commonwealth usually. As for fast food, Subway really is the place to go. It's about the only shop that is daring enough to actually prepare the food right in front of you, and you have so much more say in what goes in it too. It's much better than McD's, but sometimes it is nice to have a little extra grease. Share this post Link to post
Gazdude 0 Posted June 26, 2004 I dunno why you say you have to be in NZ to know what your talking about... Chip shops are everywhere here.... Chinese and cantonese is my favorite though..... Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted June 26, 2004 Chippy's aren't usually in the high-street, so you can't get fish and chips unless you're prepared to walk a bit. SubWay is in the high street so it's easy to get Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted June 27, 2004 Indian curry is in the UK, it's the national dish  Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted June 27, 2004 Chinese noodle is the best. It's make want swim in a pool full of Chinese noodle. Share this post Link to post
Guest RA2 Addict Posted June 28, 2004 filet mignon owns all! especially cooked medium rare with blood and pepper and salt, and bacon wrapped around it with tooh pciks in it to hold it together...makes it look more profesional ya know...oo and i also love it when they serve it withoutpuntering any holes in it, cuz then it has all that meaty and juicy flavor...and its soft and tender and pink/red..mmmmmmmmmmm my mouth is litterally watering Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted June 28, 2004 I'm hungry enough, and you've just made it worse  I know what I'm gonna get for dinner tomorrow now, a nice big tasty juicy steak, done rare and still moving lol... I love my steak with a generous helping of stilton cheese... or any blue cheese for that matter. Blue cheese (especially stilton) is the best cheese you can get in my opinion, and it needs to mature just a little longer for perfection. Share this post Link to post
Tree 0 Posted June 29, 2004 no cheese. I cheese. And steak is the best. No flan Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted June 29, 2004 Yep steak is the best meat around.... Best done rare and with lots of blood.... Yeah.... Hope no one around here is a vegeterian.... Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted June 29, 2004 It's vegetables I can't stand... I used to eat tonnes of them, and I used to love them! One day it got to the point where I thought about the amount I was eating and just ended up losing the taste for them.... Now apart from a selected few I just won't go near them... Fruit however, that's ok... i don't eat enough fruit and I love my fruit. Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted June 30, 2004 What fruit do ypu like? I likes to eat watermellon and pomegranates, I feel like I'm in heaven when I eat them. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted June 30, 2004 Well it's mainly your basic fruit like apples, pears, watermelon, bananas, strawberries, tomatoes, rasberries, peaches, oranges... the list goes on. But if myself and my future wife to be owned a strawberry farm, we wouldn't open to the public... oh no.... we'd probably devour every strawberry in that farm within a week... just need plenty of double cream and sugar to go with it Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted June 30, 2004 Well it's mainly your basic fruit like apples, pears, watermelon, bananas, strawberries, tomatoes, rasberries, peaches, oranges. Tomatoes :?: ....they are more of vegetable. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted June 30, 2004 They are classified as a fruit Sonic... many people think they are a vegetable, but the characteristics of a tomato are more similar to those of a fruit than a vegetable...... It's even gone to court to argue the fact that it is a fruit... below is the explanation. Just a few short years later, a tomato importer evaluated the law closely, and decided to challenge it on the botanical grounds that a tomato was in fact technically a fruit, not a vegetable, and should therefore be exempt from said tax. John Nix's case posed merit enough to land the case before the Supreme Court in 1893. In Nix vs Hedden, 149 U.S. 304 (1893), Justice Gray wrote, "Botanically speaking, tomatoes are fruits of a vine, just as are cucumbers, squashes, beans, and peas. But in the common language of the people...all these are vegetables, which are grown in kitchen gardens, and which, whether eaten cooked or raw, are, like potatoes, carrots, parsnips, turnips, beets, cauliflower, cabbage, celery and lettuce, usually served at dinner in, with or after the soup, fish or meats which constitute the principal part of the repast, and not, like fruits generally, as dessert [1]." The court rejected the botanical truth that the tomato is in fact a monstrously sized berry, and deferred to the culinary vernacular of vegetable to describe it. The point to note in that passage is that the botanical truth is that the tomato is in fact a monstrously sized berry..If still not convinced, the entire article and the brief history of the tomato can be found at: http://lamar.colostate.edu/~samcox/Tomato.html Share this post Link to post
