Sonic 296 Posted July 12, 2012 The Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances team has selected the Alliance of the Month for July - the "United Ninja Snipers". Here's a quick look at how this alliance was formed. Our alliance was created towards the end of April 2012, the result of a merger of 4 local alliances- the Unity, the Dedicated Onez, the Ninja Assassins, and the Sniper Squad. I knew many players needed to finish the Forgotten Base Quest, and that most of the middle of the world was a giant warzone- and resolved to unite our alliances into a contiguous whole, that would be able to negotiate, fight better and survive to the center of the world (so that we could finish the quest). This was of course, before POIs made large alliances necessary. I proposed we have our names merge into United Ninja Snipers to recognize our origins and help players transition into our alliance. Immediately, the problem of leadership came up. Originally, I was the leader of the Unity, and managed to make a good impression on the Snipers Squad, Ninja Assassins, and Dedicated Onez, during a short, victorious war by burning down half a dozen Blood Legionnaire Bases, including that of their Vice-Commander, within 4 hours. Some of the bases were higher level than my own. To facilitate integration, I declared I would not seek out the leadership position, and proposed we would have a tournament between players, and the player who demonstrated the greatest tactical acumen would be our leader. PurpleGaga27 40 Posted July 12, 2012 Alliance of the Month could have been renamed as Clan of the Month. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted July 13, 2012 Except this is Tiberium Alliances, not Tiberium Clans, so that would be a bit stupid, wouldn't it? Share this post Link to post
Aircraftkiller 9 Posted July 13, 2012 The entire premise of this game is pretty stupid, so they might as well go full retard instead of going half-way. I miss the days when C&C was more than a cash cow. 1 Share this post Link to post
BigJoe 4 Posted July 13, 2012 I miss the days when C&C was more than a cash cow. Don't we all... 1 Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted July 14, 2012 I don't. The past is dead and buried, as far as I'm concerned. Got to keep it moving. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted July 14, 2012 I miss the days when C&C was more than a cash cow. Ironically, Tiberium Alliances is free to play Share this post Link to post
Plok 327 Posted July 14, 2012 Ironically, Tiberium Alliances is free to play That's what they want you to believe. Explain the Credits stuff then. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted July 14, 2012 Ironically-er, people that actually invest in free to play games like these probably put in far more money than they would by buying a physical game and paying for it only once. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted July 14, 2012 Aye, that's true. I can't tell you how much money I spent on Habbo Hotel. Share this post Link to post
Existor 15 Posted July 15, 2012 Ironically, Tiberium Alliances is free to play It's Free to Pay, not to play. Share this post Link to post
Lauren 78 Posted July 15, 2012 Ironically, Tiberium Alliances is free to play You seem to miss the point in pay to win, which is the actual concept. free to play, or play for free are just friendly names. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted July 16, 2012 Costs quite a bit of money for that pay to win crap, too. The resources you can buy would be burned up in an instant, if you actually payed for them. Share this post Link to post
