Matthias 3 Posted May 20, 2013 Maybe the fact that we use dynamic code generation for the new syncreport.log / automatic Trait documentation or that it can download stuff like new maps or Freeware assets gets falsely detected as malware? Please ask Symantec to whitelist us. Code can be checked at https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/ Share this post Link to post
Plok 320 Posted May 21, 2013 No need to bother. Symantec used to target Nyerguds' funpark.exe file from older versions of his patch as some sort of a trojan or something. Symantec will be Symantec, with all system slowdowns and false positives Share this post Link to post
Iran 12 Posted May 21, 2013 Norton also flagged scripts 4.0/TT patch for Renegade and my own patch, both using completely different coding and patching techniques.. Share this post Link to post

Plok 320 Posted May 22, 2013 Pretty much the only solution to that is uninstalling Symantec's products. I did so myself a while back (took me a while to be conviced, though) and I never looked back. Share this post Link to post
