New C&C E3 Official Trailer - Welcome Back General

Recommended Posts

A new Command & Conquer trailer has been released at E3 earlier today, showing some more of the gameplay, more units and more Generals, some of which are presented in CGI and with voiceovers. It seems like they'll communicate with the player in a similar manner as in Red Alert 3.

Things are finally looking bright regarding news feeds and this trailer sure sheds at least a bit of positive light on the game.

Ghost and Red Arrow generals?! :o

In COD Modern Warfare there was Ghost. Now there's a Ghost general in C&C!

i liked the video, specially the ingame parts,

as for the generals, well it was funny like in Red Alert 3 , but dr.thrax sounds like African american dude for some weird reason :P

I don't see how he sounds like a black guy, but that's just me.

I personally didn't like this trailer as much as I guess I could have. It's all explosions and nothing else involving gameplay mechanics. I guess that's the idea behind any trailer, but meh, I guess I'm looking more at the technical aspects rather than just seeing it for what it is.

I hope they put more into the generals rather than just having them be characters that randomly speak during gameplay. Taunting would be pretty neat.

One unforgetable moment of love on the battlefield.

On CnCSaga we got a strange sense of humor.

That has got to be my new favorite picture of C&CF2P.

I shall save it, and post it again when the game becomes a huge hit so that it will continue in the community, both new and old! (One can be optimistic that C&CF2P will be a blockbuster game :D)

I love taunting but isn't that more of a SP dynamic? Or are they going all the way back to RA2-esq for MP taunts...

I thought there were only going to be a few generals per side, but it looks like there are an awful lot more of them. Wonder how they're going to balance them all out.

Yes, the "CNC girls" section on CnCSaga is rather... Interesting. ;)

Probably the same way league of legends balances all of it's champions. A ton of patch's.

I like it!

EDIT:

For their personality. It's not just grim as predecesor. It's funny and loosy :)

Was any C&C game actually serious?

This actually fits his habit of changing his appearance every now and then. Boots his authenticity up ;)

TD and RA1 were fairly serious, I think the cheese they had was less intentional than a side effect of an amateur cast. Generals was mostly serious. TS was perhaps the most serious.

RA2 and Renegade were good cheesy, TW was out-of-place cheesy, RA3 was too cheesy.
