Star Fist-A series that takes place in 400-500 years from now. The main story is about humans have colonized several other planets and have diiferent governments, there is a little history on what happened on Earth since then, like the second American civil war, there was another European war, and now the planet is largely on country. But the real main story is about 25th century marines and theres a lot of action as well as other things. The series is written by 2 former US marines, so a lot of the detaails on how the Marines get **** done is pretty accurate.

 

Nancy Farmer wrote a few good books, 1 of my favorites called the House of the Scorpion. Its a fairly easy read, and is about the life of a clone of a major central American drug dealer. It is set sometime in the near future.

Another good autor is Tony Hillerman. His books focus mostly on modern day Western American native peoples. The books are mysteries, but also reveal a lot of info on modern day Native Western peoples, and how they keep their way of life alive. Kinda intruiging.

Red Dwarf is a sci fi comedy... Its mainly British humor... Its alright... I just thought it was better than Hitch hickers thing....

If you like Red dwarf you should get the Red Dwarf novel called Backwards as it is funnier than the series. Talking of Red dwarf has anyone here ever seen the American version that they made as it was the worst thing ive seen since they tried to remake Dads Army!!

They made Lister a 6 foot 3 blonde handsome guy which made no sense as the big joke is that the last human in existance is a small smelly ugly slob. The only laugh youll get from watching it is that the guy who plays Lister turned down the role of joey in Friends :lol: He must be kicking himself now!
