Tore 33 Posted December 12, 2013 Nice, but you typed the 1995 instead of 1996 for the Mac version etc. Share this post Link to post
Johnnyxp64 20 Posted December 13, 2013 an other point that needs "fixing" take off the tool tip from the navigation and the sub menus. it hides the menu and its getting in the way of seen what the menu actually says. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted December 13, 2013 Sonic, just so you know, I went into someone's livestream yesterday where he was streaming C&C 3 gameplay, and I had a number of people in there telling me they like the new design, but they can't seem to find the forums. I personally just type in "forums.cncnz.com" into my browser when I come here, but if there are random people (some of whom I didn't even know) pointing this out to me, I think it might be a bigger issue. It's just not intuitive to look up to the top right for a barely highlighted button when the forums make up such a large part of the site. I think they are deserving of their own main button, like they've always been. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 292 Posted December 13, 2013 Ok, while it makes the menu at the very top seem kind of redundant now and I've had to rename DOWNLOADS to FILES to make it fit, a link to the FORUMS is now on the main nav menu. Just like it used to be. Share this post Link to post
Plok 319 Posted December 13, 2013 One more minor error: Dec 2009 BCPT episode is mistakenly replaced with the Feb 2010 one here: http://www.cncnz.com/features/command-conquer-tv/battlecast-primetime-2-0/ Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 37 Posted December 13, 2013 So if the Cartoon & Conquer section is now in the archives and all threads related to that are in the CNCNZ news section, what about C&C Legos? The series is over and maybe those threads shall be moved to the archives as well (if Zee Hypnotist accepts). Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 289 Posted December 13, 2013 Cartoon and Conquer is not "now in the archives", there have always been archives for every episode. Share this post Link to post

The series is over and maybe those threads shall be moved to the archives as well (if Zee Hypnotist accepts). Yeah as Nmneth said, they have simply been moved to one centralised location. If you want to see them here click here http://forums.cncnz.com/tags/forums/Cartoon+and+Conquer/ The way its set up now is this. All major news about Hosted Project is posted in the news forum, The specific sub-forums are for minor updates and discussion. Share this post Link to post
Iran 12 Posted December 15, 2013 The gigantic image slideshow on the frontpage also lags my browser btw. Share this post Link to post
[NE]Fobby[GEN] 10 Posted December 15, 2013 I too originally had trouble finding the forums (not really trouble, it just wasn't obvious where it was). Now it's fine, I'm glad it was fixed. Great work on the site. The gigantic image slideshow on the frontpage also lags my browser btw. Same issue with me. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 292 Posted December 16, 2013 The gigantic image slideshow on the frontpage also lags my browser btw. Could you give me some details. What browser and version? What sort lag are you experiencing? Slow scrolling speed? Does the browser appear unresponsive? The slider in it current form has been tested in latest versions of Firefox, Chrome and IE, I've tested on both my desktop PC and laptop. I have not experienced any lag or slowness. Anyway, I said earlier in this topic, I've been looking at alternatives, but I haven't one that I like. Some time soon I will sort it out. My number 1 priority right now is getting the downloads section back online. Its a rather large job. Some of the ads that display include media rich flash animation, that could be possibly causing problems. Share this post Link to post

Sonic 292 Posted December 17, 2013 Just checked the console, few missing images which won't help the page load. I downloaded the original theme archive again. Looks like they never included them. Check out nivoslider, jQuery plugin is free http://dev7studios.com/plugins/nivo-slider/ I want one that works inside the WordPress Admin. Keeping everything centralised and not having go in via FTP is one of the reasons behind the change to WordPress. Might give this one ago http://wordpress.org/plugins/soliloquy-lite/ Share this post Link to post
