yeah it really is- I'm sure they'll do well, and the big name Star Wars franchise will definitely help their image as an emerging company.

I think that can be arranged ;)

After all, there's a lot of WW staff at Petro :D

And best of all, they still have a full year before it is going to be released, while Generals was made in around 18 months. And Petro has already been on it for a year, so that'll be 24 months of dev time :D

24 months, is that enough time. 6 years will be needed to a get a polished product ;)

That is Imperial Assault.

I want a Star Wars game in Command and Conquer true style, I mean, side-bar with all building control, fast wars, lots of fun!

 Half-Life 2 anyone?

The good thing is that it's already been announced 1 year in advance, so they can still postpone it a few times ;)

I doubt they will get to 6 years however

2.5 to 3 definately. Besides it aparently has no title, so they're not that far along in dev yet, I'd expect it to take about a year after it gets a name.

i was just looking on the petroglyph web site http://www.petroglyphgames.com/ and i found this.

We are a small, independent company with dedicated, talented people and a strong culture which gives us the flexibility to create the kind of games we all want to play. Our work environment is creative, fun, and casual, allowing individuals to foster their career growth and achieve their greatest potential. Personality, outlook, work ethic, and motivation are just as important to us as industry-leading talent. We believe in personal honesty, integrity and openness in all areas of the company.

there should be more games development companys out there that thing like this.

It's all well and good saying that, but if it's true or not remains to be seen.

They always seemed to have fun at Westwood though.

Where did that second quote come from?
