Luk3us 63 Posted December 4, 2004 We're done this sooo many times its just not funny any more.... Once more I must for for the almighty PS2. It may not be as powerful as the X-Box, but it has more games and generally better games.... Share this post Link to post
Warmatt16 0 Posted December 4, 2004 PS2 easy. It is the most well rounded. I love my gamecube and Xbox. But PS2 has a better variety of games. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted December 4, 2004 Gamecube; again because it has the most orginal games (Monkey Ball, Wario Ware Inc., Smash Bros. Melee etc...) It's a party machine! Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted December 4, 2004 My vote goes to the XBox. Nothing wrong with the PS2 though. But I like my XBox The Gamecube looks a klids toy to me, and it's games also look childish. Sorry chickendippers Share this post Link to post
Warmatt16 0 Posted December 4, 2004 In all honesty, like I said, to get a full gaming experiance, you need to get all 3 systems. The only thing that I see Xbox having that puts it over the other 2 is Halo and Halo 2. "Most" of the other games are on PS2 as well. Gamecubes games look childish, but they can be really fun. I agree with chicken dippers, for a party or something, nothing beats it. We have like 15 of them just on my floor of my dorms. Share this post Link to post
General immeyourenot 0 Posted December 4, 2004 Got to vote for the good old cube. There is not point in a PS2 or an Xbox, because any games that look even remotly interesting come out on pc, so why would i need one. People ive asked say "oh but PS2 has a DVD player in it". Well i say, "Whats wrong with a DVD player, you can pick one up for nothing these days!". As for people who think cubs are for kids, they are just plain WRONG! In fact they couldnt be MORE WRONG. When do you ever see little kids with cubes? Never, theve all been brainwashed into buying PS2s. Cube's cell shaded games may look cartoony, but that is just the style the developers chose for the game. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. And cube games are much harder to beat than all the other games available for other consoles, Halo 2, fly through it, San Andreas, no problem. Metroid Primes 2... Now that gets very hard! If i have finsished doing all the challenges then i just get 63 friends over & play a massive Super Smash Bros Melee tournament. (Ok, maybe IVE never got 63 people over, but im sure someone has) Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted December 5, 2004 Cube > Xbox, Cube > PS2. Childish? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Shows how you know. Eternal Darkness is such a child's game and so is Metroid Prime 2. Yeah, so very for kids. Get a clue people. The GameCube has ten times better marketability but they didn't sell well because the PS2 was out already and the Xbox had the overly hyped Halo. The Cube is the party machine but we established that. But also has enough variety to keep any gamer of any age busy. Resident Evil and Eternal Darkness for the older crowd, like us, and Smash Bros Melee or The Wind Waker, which kicked ass, for the younger crowd. quality > quantity Share this post Link to post
FlaK 0 Posted December 5, 2004 Dude, j00r base belongs to PS2! Gamecube games, bah, I play 'em for a week tops then walk away, and yes, I have got the less childish games as well at the mario and monkey ones. PS2 keeps me engaged for months on end. PC owns them all in the end. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted December 5, 2004 The GameCube has ten times better marketability but they didn't sell well because the PS2 was out already and the Xbox had the overly hyped Halo. So you admit that the GameCube is indeed inferior to that of the Xbox and PS2? Share this post Link to post

Enough Said You forgot Zelda, even though I am anxiously waiting for a new zelda game with those cool graphics Share this post Link to post

So you admit that the GameCube is indeed inferior to that of the Xbox and PS2? No, what he means is that people bought PS2s because they came out a month before anything else & everyone was brainwashed into buying them. Why else would anyone buy a console with only 2 controller sockets. As for the Xbox, people only bought that because they saw Halo & thought "must buy". When Halo came out 2 months later on PC which was much better anyway. Those people overlooked the gamecube, which is far the best console because they either had one of the others, or they saw Super Mario Sunshine being advertised & though "kids console", which couldnt be further from the truth. It is really only the Nintendo fanatics that bought the cube. I was introduced to it when i had the intension of buying a PS2, but after playing on it with 3 friends on SSBM i realised there was no way it could be beat. Neither the PS2 or the Xbox have origional games. If you want the games PS2s & Xboxes have then buy a PC  Share this post Link to post

If you want the games PS2s & Xboxes have then buy a PC  Try Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Gran Turismo, Burnout 2 and 3, Final Fantasy, (the proper ones), Dynasty Warriors, the EA BIG franchise, the Getaway series, Time Crisis series, Twisted Metal Series, and many many more. Do your ****ing ing research. Share this post Link to post
Gazdude 0 Posted December 5, 2004 the Getaway series Anyone played the second one yet? Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted December 5, 2004 Nope, it's apparantly better than the 1st one, but then a stinking pile of dirty noris is better than the orginal - not a good example to use for "good" games Time Crisis is hardly original - it's Virtua Cop but with a pedal and a timer. General immeyourenot 0 Posted December 5, 2004 Try Jak and Daxter' date=' Ratchet and Clank, Gran Turismo, Burnout 2 and 3, Final Fantasy, (the proper ones), Dynasty Warriors, the EA BIG franchise, the Getaway series, Time Crisis series, Twisted Metal Series, and many many more.quote'] Yeah, all the Xbox games that no-one has ever heard of & only Xboxer care about  . Come on, that list isnt even half the size of the origional games on the cube. Share this post Link to post
FlaK 0 Posted December 5, 2004 OH. MY. GOD. Firstly, they are for PS2.. NNNEEEARGH!! RETARD! Secondly, the original games on the cube are ****e, Super Monkey Ball. Played it for a day. Boring. Mario Kart DD, again, bored after a day. I also have several of the more serious GC games, again.... 1 day, back to PS2. Share this post Link to post
General immeyourenot 0 Posted December 5, 2004 One more to the ranks of the mindless PS2 zombies... Anyone who can say Super Monkey Ball is boring obviously has no sense of fun, either that or no social life. Share this post Link to post

General immeyourenot 0 Posted December 6, 2004 *Yawn* If the supporters of each camp were put in a game world then the PS2 fans would be a hoard of chavs with sticks, the Xbox fans would be a hoard of normal people with sharpened copies of Halo & a modicum of intelligent thought, & the cubers would be those people who have actually hobbies, capable of actual personalities, armed with overly large laser guns. PS2 fans = chavs with sticks Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted December 6, 2004 lol, amen to that brutha! A lot of GC games are designed for quick burst of fun, rather than having to slave through hours of droll boring stuff *cough*RPGs*cough* which is fine for me seems as I don't have the time to play games very much what with school, and going out at the weekends and so on. I bought Earth and Beyond but never played it, simply because I did not have any time to play it and trapsing around the galaxies trying to earn upgrades was boring - it'd be much cooler if you could start off with some big guns Share this post Link to post
