Thierry 0 Posted February 11, 2005 C&C Killer is all I have to say. This game has everything we want.. Actors, news reports, kick ass storyline... I've found my RTS King for 2005!! How can say that?, you haven't seen RA3 yet. C&C King is just a bit anxious for another RTS game Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted February 11, 2005 Anxious isn't the word. Desperate would be a finer way of putting it  Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted February 11, 2005 Looks cool. I'm downloading the demo the next free time i have Share this post Link to post
apocolyp4 0 Posted February 11, 2005 Im downloading it right now. I hope it wipes the sour taste that generals out of my mouth. Share this post Link to post
apocolyp4 0 Posted February 12, 2005 Mabey not but it was a disapointment as it was a cheap cashin on the war of terror which shows how low EA will go to sell games. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted February 13, 2005 The war on terror is one war that RTS could do without. It looks cool. I'll have to try it. Share this post Link to post
Mario 0 Posted February 13, 2005 that reminds me i downloaded the demo last nite so i shuld play it Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted February 13, 2005 UPDATE: Gamespot preview, News & Wicked New Trailer!! http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/actofw...ew_6114631.html It'll be fun to see Red Alert 3 top this when there's a top technothriller novelist who's written the story. The company founder was an ex-architect, who specialised in urban design building design. Plus a few other specialists... This game is not wide open boring countryside that all C&C games have had, but the war is mostly all urban warfare. Proper Urban warfare, troops will storm buildings and get on roofs to gain advantage on troops below. This, although similar to Generals in a sense is 100 times better in terms of strategical gameplay and depth. Just check out the latest movie style trailer on Gamespot.. EA are in trouble to perform, when you consider what power of resources Eugen Systems weild. And that shows in the 700,000 downloads of the demo to date  Share this post Link to post
Mario 0 Posted February 13, 2005 i cant play it my damn graphics card is 2 crap n i cant afford a new 1 atm Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted February 14, 2005 I doubt this would qualify as the best RTS ever. It's too new and hasn't established itself as quality yet. It does look quite impressive but the War on Terror is a lame idea for a game. Definitely won't dethrone StarCraft as the best of all time and no way it could be better than Rome: Total War... Saracen 16 Posted February 15, 2005 About 647MB roughly. It took me 2 hours to do mine, which wasn't bad. Only one thing I will say is that you'll need a 128MB Direct X 8.1 compliant card or above to play this, otherwiswe it just won't load. I think it's something to do with vertex shading. This game is not actually about the war on terror as such. The bad side is actually a worldwide faction that liases with other country's that aren't so pro-American. Terrorists only really come into the equation when they want to sabotage something that will get to the media. The side is actualy more Russian in terms of it's firepower. But where-ever in the world you face the evil side they will use that country's weapons to destroy you. But the only way to find out what this "Consortium" is, is to play the game. It will all unfold within the storyline. But no doubt when reviewers come to look at the game, they'll spoil it because they won't realise the importance of finding out what happens next.
