chickendippers 1 Posted May 16, 2005 Yea, we'll get our asses kicked, the world-cup winning England team no longer exists and we are left with a young team that lacks the experience to give a repeat performance. Share this post Link to post
Mr_Lee_ 0 Posted May 16, 2005 The ability of the current English rubgy team will improve, like any sort of clan/group/colelctive, they just need to be able to try and find their individuals niches in the team to be a helpful member of the team. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted May 16, 2005 Rugby..... :tired: Boring game. Quoted for truth. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted May 16, 2005 There's nothing better than playing it though. I've experienced some great highs and lows in that game... Everything from several back injuries... to knocking someone flat out...to scoring the fastest try in my school's history using well constructed play from a kick off.... and even winning the school league and gaining most tries within a season. I haven't played Rugby for 4 years now, I hardly doubt I'd be anywhere as good as I used to be. I used to have speed, power, accuracy, and strategy within the field of play... Not to mention a hulking great muscular frame when I was 18. But since I moved house I left behind one of the best non-league rugby clubs behind, with some of the best non-league coaches in the country... Now I'm in a town that has no real interest in the sport, terrible non-existant facilities, and the coaching is quite frankly crap.. Damn I miss it all. Now I just drink beer, and work takes up most of my time. Most the muscle has gone as well  Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted May 16, 2005 i doubt it...i still think u'll pretty strong King..... when i think of u, an image of a biker guy comes up, with thick muscular arms and tattoos all over the place. you have a "tough guy" aura Share this post Link to post

BWare 0 Posted May 18, 2005 +--> () It isn't that bad... Better than American Football. With all their body armour.. Pussies... um... you're an idiot. It hurts no less, believe me. Share this post Link to post
Mr_Lee_ 0 Posted May 18, 2005 Its just that being british, we're naturally tougher than the americans, why I remember the other day when I was mugged on the way home from work and I got back up, kicked the mugger in the nuts and he didnt flinch, so we called it a draw and went out seperate ways and never mentioned it ever again. GeneralZ 0 Posted May 18, 2005 maybe didnt kick him hard enough, or he had something there to protect it his crotch   Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted May 19, 2005 I wonder how many English supportors are going to turn up in Christchurch... Should be a good night on the town... Assuming they don't go smashing everything, but then thats soccer fans... I hope. um... you're an idiot. It hurts no less, believe me. Of course it still hurts. But you're still wimps for wearing all that body armour. But I suppose it is justified I mean you have those huge as fat guys coming towards you... Of course if they played Rugby they'd be dead in about 3 minutes...(To unfit... argh... die... ahh.... ) Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted May 19, 2005 Its just that being british, we're naturally tougher than the americans, that's a very silly assumption  Of course it still hurts. But you're still wimps for wearing all that body armour. But I suppose it is justified I mean you have those huge as fat guys coming towards you... Of course if they played Rugby they'd be dead in about 3 minutes...(To unfit... argh... die... ahh.... ) That made little sense, but no, we are not wimps for wearing the "body armor" (really just mild padding). If anything, it allows us to last longer, therefore allowing our bodies to take much much more abuse Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted May 19, 2005 Well I haven't played a game of american football, but I have been to a game and noone got hurt, there weren't even any crunching tackles (which are in every game of rugby even at school level) But then I suppose they switch players so often noone has a chance to get injured! English rugby fans are much more amiable than football fans. Football is a working class game, rugby is a gentleman's game. Most people will have a few beers and make their way home - there will of course be groups of people who have too much to drink, but you get them anyway. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted May 19, 2005 Football is a working class game, rugby is a gentleman's game. okay, seriously, I have no idea where you get that, but that is not true at all in the states. Football is played/enjoyed by pretty much every economic bracket. Oh, and you must have some interesting "gentlemen" in the UK... Share this post Link to post
Mr_Lee_ 0 Posted May 19, 2005 So you know, my story was fake... ...Also, If you're after a gentlemans sport, try Marquis of Queensbury rules boxing.... Finally, we british are indeed yiobs, and we will wreck havor wherever we go, so take a large cudjel if you see any of us copming to a town near you, but above all else, appreciate how much fun we really are. p.s We are tougher than the Americans, with their girly padding and their oversized snacks. BWare 0 Posted May 19, 2005 p.s We are tougher than the Americans, with their girly padding and their oversized snacks. You are a moron. Share this post Link to post
Mr_Lee_ 0 Posted May 19, 2005 the implication was sarcastic, and by insulting me you'e risen to some obvious bait. I like the USA, they made C&C. As far as a moron goes...no...a big one?....definitly no....I'm actually being satirical because of how americanised the UK is beocming. Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted May 19, 2005 ur a moron for saying this: p.s We are tougher than the Americans, with their girly padding and their oversized snacks. Share this post Link to post
Mr_Lee_ 0 Posted May 19, 2005 That was the bait general, and you're still falling for it. Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted May 19, 2005 U think ur clever by saying that? Cause u shouldn't poke fun about something u dont know about Share this post Link to post
