Removal of Detention Centre from Zero Hour

I am surprised no one had commented on this. I noticed, as most of you would have, that the Detention Centre was removed from Zero Hour. This would be due to Abu Gharib and the torture in Iraq, correct?

it had no purpose without the pow truck. originaly The pow truck woud capture infantry, then take them to the detention center, then i would reveal the enemy units.

if you have seen some of the beta pics for generals you will see POW truck, they look somewhat like the allied MCV in ra2. The POW truck would "capture" infantry then dock with the Detention center. in Generals, usa 2 or 3 you see PoW truck driving by.

Those are the stories I gotta ask "What the ****" that's ****ing twisted...

 

It's things like that... my god the world must think we're fruity nightmare people who molest their criminals...

Even S&M freaks are wanting jobs in these prisons... Who do they hire to guard these prisoners? NEVERLAND RANCH PERSONEL?

There is a LOT of stuff that EA cut from Generals/ZH, this is known as Alpha or Beta Generals.

The Prisoner concept was one of them.

Each side would have a building that could produce POW truck to collect prisoners for money or map reveal.

To get a prisoner, the standard soldier (Ranger, Red Gaurd, Rebel) would change weapons (Flashbang for Ranger, Stun Bullets for Red Gaurd, Tranqualizer Darts for Rebel) and use it on the enemy soldier till he has taken enough hits and goes into Prisoner mode, in which a POW truck could pick it up.

Here are my thoughts on torture and religion. Were it to serve a purpose, by all means utilise any means avalible in order to gain information or achieve your mission. What some people may forget is how the Iraqi insurgents kill innocent people, their own people, even those trying to rebuild Iraq. This should be proof positive that they do not care about their people or their country. With that said, PFC England and those involved in the torture of Abu Gharib are the scum of the Earth. What they did was far and above beyond nessecary. What they did was nothing short of torture and humiliation for the fun of it. I also disagree with some of the accepted methods of interrogation and torture.

 

As for Musilum and religious beliefs, I am religious. Christian prodestant in fact, and a very devoted one. I make mistakes, certainly I make mistakes, but I try. However I am not fanantical, I do not preach that my religion is the one true faith, because I believe God or Allah or whoever you believe in is better than that to make his acceptance only to those of a certain group. I do not declare Jihad or holy war on those who disparage my religion. And even though I fail at this time and time again there is the belief, and it is a good one, that it is not our place to judge others, for we are all subject to how God will judge us, and how we judge and treat others will be handed back to us as others and God will judge and treat us...if anything I said makes any sense, heh.

No, I stand by God and my religion through thick and thin. If people choose a religion that is contrary to mine I do not condemn them. The reason I am not at this level may be, in all honesty, because I am afraid. Despite my fear I continue to worship and renew my faith. By fanantical I mean those who do not follow this religion will go to hell, Jihad because of a Koran flushed down the toilet type of fananticism. Fair enough. I will thank BWare for testing my faith, but this is probably not the place to discuss religion.

 

On topic, I find it interesting how life imitates art, in this case Generals. It was good that the Detention Centre was removed from Zero Hour, imagine the controversy had it been pointed out during Abu Gharib. And I heard a lot about the Angry Mobs being too powerful. In real life it is ordinary people like those in the Angry Mob that are causing a lot of trouble in Iraq.

omg (no puns) the detention center was taken out cos it was too dumb imagine the level of microing you would need to get inf unconcious then onto trucks then back to base what a waste of resorces and as alota people ony use a few inf it woulnt be useful. mind you if you came up against me in an mass inf attack you wuld have so much intel you could see what i was doing offline :lol:. but the pow trucks and the detention center are in a mod mission withh general Steele the missing general.

The detention center was sort of useful in Generals, but the POW trucks-good thing they didnt get in. Like he said, waste of resources.

 

So whats this Bayonet charge for the Red Guard that was mentioned?

 

Anyone want to explain? (and yes, I figured out the charge part of it, and I knwo what a bayonet is)
