Leang. As well as being cool, she is on undoubtably the best side in the game. She uses units from all three sides, although I might have made a couple of changes. And she allows you to be rather creative...snipers in Overlords or Helixes? Further uses for Tunnel Networks? Fun in my book.

As far as this goes, I like Prince Kassad. Its a nice refreshing challenge for someone whos bored of wiping out everyone who stands before him. Try and control a map when you're not got Tanks as the GLA.

 

Leang is a sellout, Ironside was better, and Jackal fior me summed up the GLA, but they never included Ironside or Jackal, thus reinforcing that Leang is a sell out.

Even if you think I am a sellout, can you blame EA? Things were already going pear shaped in Iraq, and unless they wanted to market to the militant Islamics whatever was going toi be put in the game was put off least the war affect sales. How well might Zero Hour have sold when the news was screaming murder over Abu Gharib?

You obviously haven't seen the Infantry General's Helix...the Speaker Tower and the Gattling Cannon have been completly scrapped, only the Bunker remains. But! Instead of five troops, it can carry eight troops...

 

You haven't seen destruction untill you've seen what four Assault Helixes, 16 Tank Hunters (at veteran level) and 16 Mini-Gunners (at elite level) can do to an enemy base....

Perhaps, but does it really matter now? Personally, I do think it's wrong to cash in on the "War on Terror" (if you could call it a war :roll: ), but I think it's just superflorous to complain about it. Don't worry about it too much, a'ight? :wink:

Complain? Ah, I thought it might be a bit insensitive, particularly some of the units, but I really cannot complain, and in truth Generals has been a life saver when I see news of the latest terrorist attack and what such. Load up Generals or Athena Sword and waste as many of them as I can.

Um, no, no, and no.

 

First off, a normal Helix costs $1750. Anvil's Helixes only cost $1500. They only have the Napalm Bomb and the Bunker Upgrades, and they can house 8 infantry units. That is all. No speaker tower, no other upgrades whatsoever.

 

I dunno what you've been smoking but they're basically Combat Chinooks that are slower, more armoured, with a Napalm Bomb and no laser defence system. End of story.

C&c Generals release date was put back a few months because their release date happened to be near the 9/11 attacks. Imagine how distasteful it would have been to release a game surrounding terror attacks following 9/11...hence, the game was ready before Iraq and you've grossly misjudged EAs intent. Generals was an original concept in many ways, it was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Get a beliginent arguement before you release your opinion.

Are you quite done? Good, because I was only stating my point of view from what I understood of the game, not having read any information on it or seen it previewed or anything said about it until the magazines and web sites started previewing it in 20022003. Point me to where it says the release date was 2001. Even if what you say is true my point remains on Zero Hour. Is what I said true? I cannot say for sure, I am only saying it is possible. In any case this is not the place to be flaming about how wrong I am. Open up a new thread if you wish to do that.
