Hmm....

I think there are a couple of issues regarding your sig ;)

anti-"txt tlk".

anti-"txt tlk."

I support the use of correct grammar.

I support good grammar.

For your sanity and mine, type out your damned words.

Heh.. I'm only kidding...

Though, maybe it should be "For your sanity and mine, type out your damned words in full."?

Ho hum, the joys of English.

Cheers for now

There's an error in your correction there... periods ARE placed inside quotation marks.

The animation is pretty much right on, and I like it so much that I stole it :P

They would not be in that example. The use of quotation marks here is to define "txt tlk", the end of the sentence would then need a full stop, which would come AFTER the quotation marks.

Anyway, it should probably be "anti-txt tlk" being as the inverted commas are merely highlighting a "non word", which would mean that adding anti to it would make THAT a "non word" too.

Bizarre... neway... I dun care bout that nemore. I'm gun go bed now.

Cheers for now

PS - If you really are a member of the "Save the Vowels" Movement, you shouldn't really call yourself "BWare".

Nope, I did my research.(Asked the English teacher. :P)

Once again, you have a grammatical error there (period outside quotes)... plus, my name is Bill Ware. "BWare" is derived from my initials, and became my football nickname in high school. It just stuck. So... I don't know what you're thinking of, but "BWare" works just fine :P

Not really I'm afraid. It all comes down to whether you speak 'real' English or not.

American English allows this rule, however 'so called' British English does not.

As to the BWare thing, I wondered whether or not the derivation was from a shortening of the word 'Beware'.

Cheers for now

PS - In order to help bring this back into line with the topic :)

I shall nominate this as a candidate for 'Grammar Sig' of the Year -

Can you believe someone actually registered that as a Trade Mark?

PPS - Slapped my wrists and replaced all "quotation marks" with 'inverted commas' :D

Another reason why American English should be made obsolete.

It's because it's brilliant! :haha:

It's not so much that is has the "offending bits" but rather who those bits belong to. And no, before you say anything, it is NOT a guy... ¬_¬

*cough* It should be "Grammar is not boring" and "Grammar is scoring"

PS: I say rid of British English! I don't want to put a "u" in all my "or" endings. :P

I really wonder who did that? We do 'color' while you guys do 'colour'.

And about my signature for 2006.... DAMN YOU ALL!

Hi my name is Anthony and I prefer to speak whatever I want. I don't really care about what type of English is better. I prefer to speak like I am right now regardless what it is classified as. This is due to the fact that my way of communication is understandable enough and easily expressed. Loosen up people, it's bad for you if you don't.

P.S.-no offense to anyone

Those I made up myself. I originally drew along with other symbols on my music CDs. Then I decided to draw them on Paint to use for the site. The symbol on the right is my current avatar. It is also present on my previously posted wallpaper on the bottom.
