Now then, now that I am sane, I say, this is quite exciting! Oldies work on XP! Too bad you can't save skirmishes in Red Alert/TD.

 

Anyways, its good! But I was semi-hoping for news about a new C&C....

 

Anyways this is awesome!

 

That would be awesome if they could add a save option to the older ones and make the harvester in RA1 and TD be so stupid.

the price is currently set at US$39.99. What i wanna know though if there planning on making changes so they can run on xp will we be able to play multiplayer with someone who has the pack with someone whos using the original games

Its not the OS that is of concern it is the updated version of the games. Since they're have to be updated to run properly on XP and such. Thus they may not be compataible with the old games.

Anyway, what you must all read in the Louis Castle interview at Gamespot. It covers plenty of your questions and the future of the C&C franchise. Especially these questions.....

Louis Castle: We are calling it the first decade for a reason! We absolutely intend to continue making games in the C&C franchise, but nothing has been announced at this time. For all the fans reading out there, I assure you that you haven't seen the last C&C game.

Louis Castle: We are always working diligently to bring C&C fans and gamers everywhere new experiences, and we are absolutely committed to our celebrated C&C franchise. Hmm a thought comes to mind, what if they don't announce a new C&C game, but when the DVD comes out in February, there is a trailer for the next C&C that they don't tell anyone about? (until someone finds it & it makes the news at the comunity sites, then they come clean.)

Hey cool. I guess this answers the "patches" question too...

 

LC: We intentionally kept the games the same although we did apply various patches already available to the public to fix bugs and improve balance in multiplayer games. This is truly the collection of your favorite C&C games in their original presentation.

I think the bonus dvd will more than justify the price and the fact its going to be fully patched versions of the games. It'll save Dial-up people, like Acerz, having to wait a million minutes for a patch. If they all work on XP, then even better.
