I'm back after an extended brake! But I've not been blind to the world. I don't know if I'll buy CnC:tFD. Though $39.99 may be cheap to all of you, I'm flat broke right now, plus I have to pay the school taxes(60 RON/month). I still have TS and RA2 though...

Well, just a couple of points...

BWare - let us hope that EA have learned from the last outing that real CnC fans would like to see a CnC/RA storyline in the next outing. It would even be quite possible to shoehorn the Generals games into the RA timeline somewhere along the way... even as an alternate reality....

Publix - just because a group of internet folk considers the game to be abandonware doesn't make it so. I deal a great deal with a boardgame called Talisman that has been out of print for nearly 20 years and the copyright owner has no intentions of rereleasing it, but they still guard their Intellectual Property with a passion. Seeing as EA are rereleasing the packs I think they will probably have a purge of all sites that carry illegal downloads of their games.

I'll be buying The First Decade and hopefully within a couple of years we will see a new CnC game that everyone will be happy with (what an optimist!!) - We shall have to wait and see.

Cheers for now

HELL.... NO. I believe we've covered this before, but there is absolutely no way that Generals can fit in.

Just thing of it as another galaxy in the C&C universe that is distant from the RA and Tiberian Galaxies. Thats the way I look at it.

Here's what I wonder EA will do once they start selling the older games....

Will they add anything to the site that has nothing on the old games anymore? It would be nice to see an official site for RA1 and TD with some actual useful stuff on it.

Yes, that's why I said alternate reality.

Cheers for now

No, to me that just couldn't fit. I'd much rather have a C&C TT or RA3

What has been with you reviving old topics? Yes its awesome news, but I guess we lost interest for the moment.

"Under no circumstances should old topics be resurrected. By this we mean old topics that have not been posted in for the 4-6 month range, if its July don't post in something from January or February. These are considered dead threads, don't bring them back to life because nobody is interested in them anymore. Added 10/07/2005"

Be careful here guys, don't dig up stuff that no-one cares about anymore, a month or more fits this category and unless this topic actually gets going it will be locked.

Thats where I was going...

Just a question about this topic though, can we dig it up once the first decade is released? Or just create another topic...?

Depends how long that takes, if its longer then a month, make a new one :)

It'll be 2. Anyways it would be really cool if they re-compressed the cutscene videos for the package. They were fine when they made 'em, but the compression at the time sucked so that's why they weren't so great in the game.

Don't hold your breath. The only thing we're likely to see is the exact same content, but this time with XP compatability.

...but I do hope that I'm wrong

All I ask is decent resolutions for all games. I refuse to play those games again in 640 x 480!!!!

Didn't know where to post this.. so I thought I'd start here.

It MAY have been mentioned before, but on reading Sonic's news about the new site being back up I thought I'd take a peek.

My first reaction is....

DO EA NOT GIVE A CRAP ABOUT FRANK KLEPACKI??

First they snub him when they release his music as "Various Artists" (yes, I know some of it was!) and now they can't even spell his name correctly....

Remember the heart-stomping tune of Hell's March and other memorable scores from composers Frank Klapecki, Michael Sandrgen, & Bill Brown as the official soundtracks are now available for digital download.

Hell's March? I thought it was just Hell March.

Klapecki? Umm....

(not to mention the comma before the ampersand!)

They can't even decide whether the other bloke is called "Mikael Sandgren" or "Michael Sandrgen".

Shoddy...

Grrr...

Cheers for now

Ah... you really have to love the personal touch that only a media giant like EA can provide. I hate to say it, but gentlemen, C&C as we know it is dead.

I must admit, the First Decade is a poorly executed ploy for more money and hell knows what else... The site reflects this, since it is, like Rusty says "shoddy" to say the least...

An interesting thought...I wonder why Aaron doesn't come to and post in these forums? He goes to and posts at CnC Den, Planet C&C and other places.. why not here?

Thoughts on a postcard please...

It will sell though, simply because it has C&C logo on it and its cheap. At least they are using the classic logo and not the new one introduced for Generals.

Sorry I have no postcards, so you will have to settle for this reply

I've never actually wonder why Aaron doesn't come here and post. He would probably post at CNC Den because to put it simply its more popular than CNCNZ.com. As for Planet C&C, no comment.

You would think he might at least pay a courtesy call now and again to the originators of the CnC 10th Anniversary. As without that I suspect this (incomplete) anthology would never have seen the light of day...

Cheers for now

I Must admit, it would be nice to see our names or even CNCNZ.com in the credits... but there's very little chance of that happening. Afterall this C&C 10 idea wasn't ours, it'll go down in their history as being EA's

I hope they prove me wrong
