The Real Attitude of the C&C Community

Once again the negative attitude and down right ugly side of the community comes out play, I feel sorry for Lion because they plaster it all over his site....

If I were Lion, I would delete every comments posted in that mess.

 

Nothing but fighting, arguing and to be honest it makes me sick. I've had enough of seeing this ****. I won't name any names but its no surprise to me to see who is at the centre of it all.

if there is a website provided for you to state your opinion....then dont abuse that privalege(spelling).

 

regardless of individual ideas of respect and recognition.....people should have the common decency(spelling) to realize that just because any post is possible(allowed)...doesnt mean ANY post is 'postable.'(reasonable)(grammar)

 

Lion and his site CNCDen is one of the greatest contributors to the CNC community.....and I support any decision that Lion makes...accept for those against CNCNZ..which is the first CNC forum I've joined....

 

Lion and his site..are both great on their own...i hate to see their reputation (or even leverage) wrongly utilized.

We don't have arguements here, we have 'disagreements'. We explain our reasonings, elaborate on points, etc etc. In short, yes we are reasonable.

I grow tired of a large portion of this community and what it stands for. Not only is it in disarray. But no-one respects each other let alone the respect the webmasters who's sites comments such as this are on.

 

I sincerely hope that EA come up with some goods soon, because this community is like a post apocolyptic city where the police seem to have no control. To be Frank, I do not think Aaron Kaufman has the Judge Dread in him to set things straight. Unlike Delphi, who would attempt to set any records straight where he could at a corporate level, and settle certain arguements he deemed important to prevent the community ripping each other apart. But he is only one man, it requires help, but instead I only see something else.

 

(People say shut up and move on over this Westwood stuff, but the "Westwood" community actually had structure and it had the respect. All I see, is something that has none of this.)

 

EA have declared martial law, but what changes can we make to other sites other than our own? All apologies and respect to Lion, but it is the Webmaster's responsibility to keep their part of the community under control. By not doing anything and not taking a stand, he's allowing this community to fall apart in front of him.

 

Stuff the popularity of the site, the future of this community is more important than anything. If I was Lion, I would take a risk of sounding unpopular and begin to become that Judge Dread. Lion needs to be the law, not below it!!! More respect is to be gained by taking a stand, than to show ignorence to what goes on around him.

Damn Fenring why don't you sugar coat those words next time. Of all the years I've been in the community and outside the higher members of the team at CNCNZ.com, Lion has been the most pleasant person I've delt with, we have never had any disagreements, never argued, we have level respect that is only achieved by running these types of sites for all these years. Some people forget that Lion and myself have been doing this since the pre-Tiberian Sun days so we have seen all this before.

 

I don't think its a case of Lion trying to appease the arrogant masses, I think he tries to give everyone a chance to state their opinions, I've seen him step in and shut things up before in his news comments.

 

They only way this community will improve.....

I never said he was a bad person or a bad webmaster. He does appease the masses to the masses though and that's why I said what I did. I've a pleasant experience with him before myself so I know he's a nice guy. He's not the issue: it's the arrogant people that populate his forum and news boxes. He's great, the people around him aren't.

I doubt the construction crew I run would agree with ya. They think I'm mean and demanding.

 

Pardon me if I don't get excited, but I've been in the community since the original Red Alert days. I've learned not to take things too personal. As far as me and Sonic goes, he's been a very good friend for many years. I have great respect for him and his site, and he knows that. I refrained from posting my personal views in public on any article that comes from CNCNZ. What I do is communicate with the article writer in private. I think C&C King will verify that.

 

It's true that there are some people that get a tad carried away on the comments section in the news at the DEN. But let's keep in mind the majority of visitors are young. They may not have honed their social skills as well as we'd like to see. But it goes with the territory. I can go to any gaming community on the net and see the same thing. You should visit some of the offical forums for games if you think the DEN is bad.
