*steps out of darkshadows*

Ah yes, so you have uncovered my....er underground trade in catpured Jedi Weapons....

There is nothing at all wrong with Red blades. For those of you who have played (and understood) KOTOR, KOTORII, and a million other books, you would know that Jedi blades are constructed to cut and cauterise wounds. Sith blades are designed to burn and scorch as they pass through. Want proof? Listen to the movies. Upon ignition, the Jedi blades have the all too familiar snapp-hiss, whereas the Sith blades have a distinctly harsh sound when they are ignited.

Personally, I prefer a fencing-type weapon, similar to what Darth Tyrannus uses (Count Dooku for those of you who dont pay attention...)

Although, doubles can be very effective, but against other blade weilding opponents, the fencing style has a much greater advantage. Both the fencing and double can easily do similar amounts of damage to opposing Jedi, but the double bladed style uses up much much more energy than Fencing.

Tradition saber combat (the generic circular motions with acrobatics) is well suited for combat against blaster weilding opponents, as well as it is a deffensive style, unlike double saber, which is almost entirely attack.

Prrof that Jedi are deffensive and Sith are agressive....you ever see a Sith block blaster bolts? Nope. Know why? They attack too fast, or instill fear in their opponents, allowing them to get the drop on enemies before serious firepower can be brought into play. The Jedi are always "blocking" because they try to be more deffensive in combat, offten times only pulling thier sabers after they have been shot at.

My fav sabers on the site are Lukes (1st one) and Vaders (Generalz's fav)

do they have like samuri type sabers...and like the fighting styles too...of samuri?

Samuri used many many different styles. Mainstream samuri, aka KENDO is incorperated into several styles of lightsaber combat. However it does not monopolise any one style, due to its inherent weaknesses. Fencing is one particullar style that has nearly everyadvantage over Kendo, hence why the Jedi mixed and matched styles of swordmanship.

yea but samuri swords are known for being very strong and SHARP....do they have like a saber that is comparable in the category.....like is there a really strong type?

Of course, they would just make a more finely cut handle to project the beams more accurately, I guess...

The closest thing to that would be the Sith Swords, before the created their own red-bladed Lightsabers. Either that or when Gantoris made the so-called, "Great Lightsaber".

Gantoris was laughable. Great Lightsaber indeed.....Darth Maul's and Darth Tyrannus's sabers are of a more eloguent construction than Gantoris's.

If you recal, Corran Horn coppied a design similar to that of Gantoris's.

Each Saber is unique to the being that created it. Both in the crystals choosen, and the personal "force being" of the person (if you will) makes and shapes a lightsaber.

Sith intentionally design their sabers to be harsher sounding and to burn and scorch (as was mentioned above). Jedi tend to be a bit more personal with thir blades.

As for actual steel-alloy blades, back in the days of KOTOR and KOTORII, the Sith had numerous types of metal blades that were used by non-Force sensitives who had joined the Sith forces. These blades were all chemically treated to withstand an undetermined number of hits from a lightsaber. It is unknown how long these blades would have held up against repeated strikes, although it is specualted that it must have been quite a long time, for the Sith armies nearly wiped the Jedi out. The resistance of the steel blades against lightsabers could be increased by adding energy "sheathes" to them. In essence, it is a small later projector that encases the blade in a forcefield like projection. These devices have limited opperating times however, so extended combat with them is unadvised. The last method of blocking lightsaber blades with steel ones is by weaving Cortosis ore fibers into the blade. Cortosis ore itself is britle, and not in large quantity, but it does have a unique property, in that it reflects vitually all forms of light energy, including corherent light and lightsaber blades. Disruptor beams will even fragment upon reflecting upon cortosis ore.

That enough info, or do y'all want more ?

omfg, I thought you said you read it

which two do you mean?

Luke Skywalker

Hans Solo

or Anakin Skywalker

Im about to laugh at both of you.....

Many Jedi have become one with the Force, Including Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin Skywalker, and so on.

Anakin Solo (2nd son of Han and Liea) did not become one with the Force, for reasons unknown. Jacen Solo has come the closest to being complete without actually dying. He was able to expand his sensitivity outside the "normal" boundaries, and eventually sense the Yuzzahn Vong. Luke Skywalker is easily the second closest person to do this.

I dont know where you did your reading, but the best place is the books. Thats where I have attained all of my SW knowloedge from, and they are the most consistent. Many web sites are wrong because people are too lazy to read the books and put 2 and 2 together.

Too much Star Wars info ?! BLASPHEMOUS!!!

There is no one "all powerful" Jedi. Combat wise, Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, Anakin Solo, and Kyp Durron are all easily the top of the group. (Possibly Yoda too.)

But raw Force strength, well there really is no singular way to judge that. Obi Wan is very strong with both the Force and his lightsaber, but he's deffinetly not a combat minded person. He lets the Force cary him very much. The same can be said with Jacen Solo. Luke Skywalker as well, although as the war with the Yuuzahn Vong progressed, Luke became more combat minded and less "Lets talk it out first" because of the fact that Yuuzahn Vong do not negotiate, they just fight. And then they fight some more.

If you want to know who the strongest Jedi/Sith is, you'll have to ask who is the stringest at a particullar feat.

k...

for both sides...

whose the most powerful with the force(alive)?

whose the most powerful with the lightsaber?

who are the most legendary of both sides?

and i guess what can they do that makes them the most powerful?

and last but not least, whose the older(original) one to use the force?

and if you want, where does the Star Wars universe originate? like the earliest stories and all that?

I was waiting for one of these.....

whose the most powerful with the force(alive)?

Sith-

Force - Sidious and Plageius are the only Known Sith to have been able to manipulate medichlorians with the Force, however Exar Kun was able to rip the Force "soul" (for lack of a better term) out of over 1 million Massassi natives of Yavin 4 and use them to lock part of his spirit in the temples for 4000 years.

Jedi

Force - We all know and love Yoda, I doubt he needs an introduction. However his teachings were seriously flawed. He trained the Jedi to win the last war, not to adapt to their modern adversaries.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was very easily one of the strongest in the Force. While he never outwardly showed this, once engaged in combat, he was very adept at letting himself go to the Force.

Luke Skywalker is also very powerful in terms of raw Force talent. Going through approxamitley 3 years of training, he mastered many skills that took the Jedi of old decades to master. Skywalker also rebuilt the entire Jedi Order almost singlehandedley, and all of this after The Emperor eradicated nearly every last trace of the Jedi from the galaxy.

Kyp Durron defeated Skywalker in combat almost effortlessly, although at the time he was under the influence of the Soul of Exar Kun. Kyp is still considered very powerful among the Jedi Order.

Jacen Solo is very similar to Obi-Wan kenobi in all regards except for one. He bridged the gap between the Jedi and Yuuzahn Vong were Force sensitivity was concerned.

whose the most powerful with the lightsaber?

Sith-

Darth Revan was a well known lightsaber expert from the days of KOTOR. He had a tendancy to pwn any and all enemies he faced.

Exar Kun invented and mastered the double bladed lightsaber and its fighting forms.

Darth Maul learned these forms without help from Sidious and mastered them as well

Anakin Skywalker is also very powerful. While he remains true to "standard" lightsaber combat, like Revan he had enormous reserves of strength within him.

Darth Tyrannus (Count Dooku) used an older form of combat akin to Fencing. While not particullary adept at picking off blaster bolts, this form was supperior in all manner against other conventional lightsaber combat.

Jedi

Yoda had his own style of lightsaber combat the was unique to his species.

Mace Windu invented the lightsaber combat form known as Vapaad, and he is the only Jedi ever to master it.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is an uncontested master of "standard" combat form, his closest match with it was Anakin Skywalker.

Luke Skywalker is virtually self taught in all of his lightsaber combat forms, and he is undoubtedly a master at all of them. For example, when facing Yuuzahn Vong supreme overlord Shimra (who stand 3 meters tall and used a 5 foot amphistaff) Luke easily took his and Anakin Solo's lightsabers and weilded them together to keep both Shimra and about 7 of his guards at bay while allowing Jacen and Jaina Solo to persue Onimi.

Anakin Solo was killed fighting over 100 Yuuzahn Vong warriors aboard a worldship in orbit over Myrkr. While this may not seem that exciting, he killed all of those warriors before being brought down.

who are the most legendary of both sides?

Sith-

Revan-for his 99% sucess rate at wiping out the Jedi order

Exar Kun- similar to the above

Darth Bane-he set the Sith standard of only a master and an apprentice.

Darth Vader-99.99% sucess rate at wiping out the Jedi.

Darth Tyrannus-for falling into one of the most eloquently constructed Jedi/Sith traps ever concieved

Darth Sidious-the only Sith Lord to ever truly rule the Galaxy for longer than 5 years

Jedi

Obi-Wan - one of 2 Jedi to survive the purge, Luke's 1st instructor

Yoda - the other Jedi to survive the purge, Luke's 2nd instructor

Mace Windu - unbeatable in combat (almost) last "true" member of the Jedi council

Qui-Gon Jinn - amazing ability to sense the future without dirrectly compromising it

Luke Skywalker-singlehandedly (literally) rebuilt the Jedi order from scratch

Jacen Solo-defeated the mastermind behind the Yuuzahn Vong invasion, Onimi, 2nd Jedi ever to achieve the ability to sense hte Yuuzahn Vong in the Force

Kyp Durron-destroyed 7 star systems with the Sun Crusher, later on he lead the forst counterattacks against the Yuuzahn Vong invasion

Corran Horn-developed "modern" Jedi training, mix with other skills, helps Skywalker structure the new Jedi Academy training programs.

and last but not least, whose the older(original) one to use the force?

The Jedi were. For as long as there have been Jedi, there have been Dark Jedi, but the Sith did not come into existence until 1000's of years later. The Sith were actually a species of Korriban that were wiped out by 4 Imensly Powerful Dark Jedi. Naga Sadow and Adjunta Pal were the 2 strongest and are acredited with the titles of "Founders of the Sith Order and Legend"
