C&C: The First Decade Posters

Let the speculation begin. Some pictures of the posters included in the C&C: The First Decade pack have surfaced, on one side it appears to be an updated version of the Ion Cannon, kind of more futuristic, while the other side of the poster is a mystery tank of some sort. Fans have begun speculating and guessing that these could be teasers about a future C&C game. Here are the pictures, sorry about the quality.

 

 

I'll leave it up to you to decide for yourself.

 

My guess, probably just some bonus concept art from a few years ago or something.

I noticed if you breakup the pieces of the Ion cannon's poster for every one sguare into folds of eight...

and then tear them out

reassemble them for every fourth piece placed first in a series of 16 times...

 

It spells out...

 

CHY...

 

spooky sheeeet....

 

But honestly I remembering seeing that Ion Cannon during the NOD's ending movie...

 

I blewup London, but I was aiming at Germany... but hell I was drunk at the time....

 

Tank looks like a medium tank... from C&C 1...

 

I don't trust EA to give us teasers like that...

EA is more like... HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT OUR GAME!!! LOOK AT IT!!! HERE ALL THE INFO!!! NOW WE KNOW YOU'LL BUY NOW, CUS IT NEW!!!

 

Westwood did teasers, EA games works loud and bluntly...

 

EDIT: Now that I look at that tank's shape, from both C&C and Renegade (minus red and black)... I would have to correct myself and say it's a small tank....

This to me is the teaser announcement for the next C&C game... No Ion cannon was made as a concept like that. Same with the tank.... I believe we have our Next C&C Game!!!!

 

Coupled with the huge hints in the Podcast about the Tiberian Series being the guys main favourite, talk about Kane and these pics... I can safely say that I'm 98% sure that Tiberian Twilight is coming people!!

I doubt a new C&C Tiberian series is coming for the simple fact the tank doesn't look NODish and GDI doesn't use tanks anymore...

 

The tank looks nice... but modern... not futuristic...

 

and the GDI Ion Cannon was a Space Station the last series... the Ion cannon looks too skim to be station...

 

I don't think it's the future if they are coming out with a new series in Tiberain universe (New game set in modern times perhaps?) ... that if the pics are just really updated looks for the units.

I swear... if they actually DO make a Tiberian universe game... I may just have a happiness overload. It sure looks like it from those pictures! That truly would be amazing. What IF this First Decade thing contained a teaser or announcement like that?

I want to see a C&C game set in modern times...

 

The first old C&C conflict of NOD vs GDI...

Maybe they'll play on that a little more...

I think old concept art (maybe for tiberian sun) or something from ther next C&C (kinda like a hidden teaser) maybe RA3 that makes Red Alert tie in with Tiberian (They were hinting in the podcast that RA could be part of tiberian story) maybe you see G.D.I and NOD form would explain tank. Or just another Tiberian and that is new stealth tank (if you look at it it does look quite like a stealth tank) but tank is quite G.D.I.ish in color sceam maybe G.D.I. found out tanks are more efficent or something. But maybe they are just something cool for the fans, It's anyone's guess at this point but we will find out when the next C&C is announced.

 

BUT i would be EXTREMLY HAPPY if next game is tiberian. Tib Sun firestom had a huge cliffhanger at end and i want 2 see more of the scrin + tiberian was always my fav universe i LOVE the Ion Cannon.

either a GDI tank, or a GDI Export tank for the forgotten (assuming GDI will be using "higher" forms of technology :wink:

 

Last Ion Cannon was a satelite, not a space station shah

 

this one just looks kick ass. Maybe with some manuvering jets it can act as an orbital anit-scrin cannon.....oops, may have said too much

Well I'm 50/50, I really think its just some concept art they had and EA thought they would make nice posters. It would be just so unlike EA for to sneak a teaser in there like that.

No problem Lion, I found the pics on Planet CNC's forums, I just chopped out the non important stuff around the outside. If I had the actual poster I would get better pictures than thoses ones.

Theres a 50% chance this is just concept art from an older game, but theres also a 50% that this is the biggest Hint ever for a new C&C game (set in the Tiberium Universe by the looks of it!)

oh come on Shah EA had long enough to 'look' at the forums and see that WS style was liked..... there is a Bonus disk..... What is going to light up the forums more than a short 30 sec vidio of a 'new' CNC? thats what im thinking anyway. (that theres a 30 sec vid on the bonus DVD)

 

I thought the Ion cannon looks sorta Philidelphia like...... they could have built the philidelphia 'Around' that ion cannon. The tank could be NOD it has a S-Tank/Tic tank look about it. so it could be RA3

Anyway, to further things here I wanna show you what I wrote at the Den. People are unsure that if Kane is to appear in the Tiberian Saga, how can it be done? I wrote the following, plus my reaons to the whole situation.

 

The Tiberian Series will continue some day, and when it does, they will not require joe at all to bring Kane back to life. There are plenty of talented voice actors out there, and coupled with a new game started from scatch, including the a new 3D engine. (hence why I think it's taken over 2 years to build it so far) Kane will be brought back to life.

 

Yes people the reason why we're waiting so long for the next C&C, is cos they are obviously working on a new C&C from scratch... That means No More SAGE!!!

 

Don't believe me? It took the 2 years from the founding of Petroglyph to Early Beta of Empire-at War (2003-2005) to create the whole game before building, polishing and finalising the game for next week. Effectively with such a small team it has taken 3 years to complete!

 

Regardless of what is going on, we have to Remind ourselves that Harvard Bonin and a whole team, has been doing something else since BfME 1 went gold. He was at EALA in August. Therefore - FACT: A new RTS (most probably C&C) has been in the works Since late 2004!

 

C&C is without a doubt already well underway. That is a fact. EALA has 2 RTS teams... we know what 1 has been doing all this time... What about Harvard and the other team???

 

Something also screams at me - Renegade 2. There has been evidence (although very little) That First Person elements have been hinted at... it may also be possible that there is a second C&C in the works to compliment C&C 3...

 

Something screams at me "Renegade 2"... Hell even EA asked a survey question on FPS + C&C. The way I see it, when Westwood was consolidated, they aquired all the code that was created from existing unannounced projects. EA for every reason would not have destroyed this valuable data. They wouldn't.. it's a great foundation to hold onto and build upon.

 

Tiberian Twilight was already well into development stages, and to many a degree, so was Renegade 2. I'm betting that these will resurface before Red Alert 3 even sees the light of day.

 

As for continuum... I highly doubt that will resurface. But it seems to me that since EALA holds Medal of Honour development as well as C&C development... there's opportunity right there for the taking. It depends how much coding was developed before Westwood was consolidated. This will already tell us in my opinion what the next C&C is..

What about Harvard and the other team? My guess: Battle For Middle Earth 2 for XBox 360... If it has two teams, led by two people (Verdu and Castle), I don't have any hope for a TT at the moment. But I'm sure they'll make a new Command & Conquer game.

 

 

As for these pictures, they might have taken something from Renegade here... probably some old concepts they've found recently..
