So I was around for a lot of it. I got into C&C just as RA was hitting store shelves. Sega Saturn was the system I played it on, and I didnt own any game until RA2 was released and I bought RA: The Arsenal and Tiberian Firepower (combo pack w/ soundtrack)

 

course, now I have RA, AM, TS, FS, RA2, YR, GEN, 0HR, and C$C TFD

Trust me though when I say this. I am quite young compared to alot of the guys in this community. Some people in 1992 played Dune 2 for the first time while they were in their late 20's early 30's. That was 14 years ago! Lion has even had an e-mail from a guy who'd not long passed 63! There's a whole range of ages of people in this community.

 

Funnily enough that makes me laugh when I think that some people in this community were not even born when Dune 2 was released!!!

I've just noticed something with Starcraft (I dont own it, so it took me a while)

 

It seems to me that EA ripped the Generals taskbar right out of starcraft, saged it, and redid the paint job.

Well ya can't say they don't have good taste....Starcraft is STILL on the shelves, and it's been there since 1995 :wink: and gold edition (or the equivalent) is still $20 US :shock:

It took you that long? Generals looks feels and plays like a Blizzard RTS, which isn't a bad thing mind you. However, that's just not what we expect of C&C.

C&C 95 has a MUCH better storyline than Starcraft. Although I will hand it to them, the graphics are slightly better. But you do have to admit, the Starcraft music cant even be mentioned on the same page as Frank K's (even though i just did )
