-NickoheaD- 0 Posted April 20, 2006 Hm...so those are mammoth tanks. I hope we see a return of a few walking vehicles as well though. And I really would have liked a nicer title for the game. 'Tiberium Wars' just sounds a little..meh. Share this post Link to post
cnc_sage 0 Posted April 20, 2006 I can't see any rocket pods on those "Mammoth Tanks" According to the article mechs will appear. Share this post Link to post
ExcessiveForces=GW= 0 Posted April 20, 2006 yes yes yes...finally something to look forward too with a cnc name stamped too it!!!! Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 20, 2006 Tiberium Wars is a working title. Its not the official title yet. Thats why everything is still labeled C&C 3 Sonic & King, I think some celebratory smileys are in order, no?? Im really looking foreward to running a GDI airforce all over the planet. EA mentioned something about missions rewarding players for their playing style...im thinking this means the game can "think" in a way, and adjusts missions accordingly. Hopefully to make it harder for your style Speaking of upgrades, I cant even run ZH or Gen with any decent kind of speed. F to this comp, I need an entirely new rig. EDIT: I just thought of this as I was looking at my sig and my EAW record. EA sure picked a heck of a time to unload this on the community. Share this post Link to post

I can imagine plenty of people are in the same boat. On the bright side I now know that a month before C&C3 is when my next overhaul is due. I just have to suffer with this til then.. Luk3us 63 Posted April 21, 2006 Those types of features have been in other games already you know. Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted April 21, 2006 The Multiplayer game will feature the usual skirmish, deathmatch, and team deathmatch modes, as well as a new "risk-style" meta-game called World Domination This aint very new either Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 21, 2006 Bah, who needs a navy. Besides there wasn't a "real" navy in TD or TS. No point breaking tradition. Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted April 21, 2006 if they do include navy it should be like Generals with the navy featuring in a few missions Share this post Link to post
Guest MadBadger Posted April 21, 2006 Better get those systems upgraded. Latest news is: C&C3 will, naturally, be using a further upgraded version of the same engine that has powered Generals and both Battle for Middle-Earth games. For those of you who don't have BFME2, let me point out that its system requirements easily top those of Quake IV, so start saving up those pennies to buy the uber-system you'll likely need to run C&C3 at max detail. Oh dear, my system can't even run Quake 4 in minimum Detail.... Gonna need one hell of a new Rig for this baby!! hehe good thing i was planing for a new rig already thinking of an ATI X600 maybe.... (got the RAM & CPU locked down ) Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted April 21, 2006 they should definitely do a navy...and make like navy missions on the sea where tiberium has a little more trouble spreading fast or w.e... and when i said combining units...NOT like the archon from starcraft style...maybe like a tank and another can connect to make something crazy...like 2 mammyMK1's=mammyMK2 lol...and like transformer units or something i duno.....or maybe a new type of wolverine that can connect to a new titan and KICK asssssssss Share this post Link to post
Guest MadBadger Posted April 21, 2006 well there is TB blooms in the water in TS...... maybe..... Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted April 21, 2006 well there is TB blooms in the water in TS...... maybe..... That is true... but maybe they're planning on changing that too! Remember all the concept work of mutated life for TS? All we're seeing now is... oooohhh... radioactive crystals! Radioactivity hasn't been cool since the 50s, and crystals haven't been cool since the 60s  Share this post Link to post

I don't want combining units either... Share this post Link to post
gammyleg 0 Posted April 22, 2006 First, no I don't want a navy, leave that to the Red Alert series. Personal opinion? Naval and Air Force and maybe even artillery units should be 'specials'. THey should have a presence in the game, but as commander assets, similar to what an Infantry/Armoured officer would have at his/her disposal. That being said, Im a gunner at heart, so builable artillery would make me a happy man too =D Ubique Share this post Link to post

Mighty BOB! 5 Posted April 22, 2006 [This is in the FinalSun map editor so the edges are rough squares instead of smoothed.] Firestorm Manual - Dr. Boudreau's Tiberium Analysis - "The third known form of Tiberium is the scourge of the seas and has been working its way through the crust of our planet for decades. Green and blue Tiberium have been noticed on the sea floor along with a new form of algae colonies floating on the surface of nearly every ocean. Highly toxic in nature, these colonies are connected to small strands that attach back down to the sea floor, currently making sea voyages nearly impossible. This altered form of Tiberium does not seem to have any of the beneficial side effects of its land-based counterparts (i.e. the leeching of useful elements). Unfortunately, these colonies are slowly spreading towards our inland waterways. This action threatens to damage our drinking water supply and if we cannot stem the growth of this process, we may have much less time than we think." Share this post Link to post

THey should have a presence in the game, but as commander assets, similar to what an Infantry/Armoured officer would have at his/her disposal. That sounds like Generals and I wouldn't like that. Artillery has always been in the C&C games, but only Navy has been in the RA series. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 23, 2006 No navy for TT aside from a few hover craft (like TS) these features may not be new, but they are to C&C. And the Tiberium universe, to boot. I for one, am seriously excited. Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted April 23, 2006 i am to...but id like them to not be too true to cnc characteristics...there is a way to make a good navy in TT...and water missions would be very interesting...but probably alot for your computer to handle.. 8) imagine a new prototype hover MRLS traversing waves in the bare ocean with waves splashing on an aquatic base of a sort and tiberium being caught in a net or something(tiberium algae?) with futuristic but traditional-like subs or something... this game has potential to be awesome its really workable Share this post Link to post
