well than ill take King in Renegade...or even CS drunk...I WILL OWN YOU.

Sure, but how does that apply to aliens?

That's the point. They're more than men. To actually see them would be to take away almost completely from the mystery and their apparent power.

how does it apply to aliens..HM...i wonder....(SO CLICHE)

No. they are thought to be more than men..bt can be beyond our imagination..........AND THAT IS A FACT........THEIR POSSIBILITIES...THAT IS THE ULTIMATE CNC HOPE AND FUEL, imagination and substantial production of the dynamic and metaphorical depth of storyline?

(DEPTH) 8)

I wouldn't be so sure, I have been one of Renegade's top players. I am a ruthless, and powerful opponent. Renegade is for the n00bs nowadays, those who play well are those who Play RenAlert: A path beyond.

Kane - Did I not say he would be coming back, as both hte leader of Nod and possibly his own group? Granted, I also had Slavic wondering and eventually "betraying" him, but ya know...cant be perfect. I DO NOT see Kane as a Scrin overlord, but more as the Scrin ally up with him. Perhaps in the next game we will see the Scrin betray him (you know its gona happen).

Yuri-for the love of God, whoever the hell mentioned that should be shot to death.

King-DMAN YOU!! another spoiler, its killing me aaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!

I totally agree with BWare on the Forgotten. The wont be a military force, but rather like they were in TS. With some severely mutatious changes on the way.

Nuclear Fireball eh? You just know this is gona be goooodd. I wonder what new weapons GDI will be sporting? We all know and love the Ion cannon, as well as seeing the poster from C$C TFD, but seriously, they need something else.

Earthquake machines???? :shock: :twisted::twisted: :wink:

Who knows???

Well in C&C 3 GDI are seriously crumbling and NOD holds more support and runs many of the world countries than GDI does. Yes NOD is a world superpower and has governments.... The tables have turned and now GDI are the ones who have to rely on weaker technologies to achieve their goals, whereas NOD will rely on futuristic technology and brute force.

Brute force? I believe that sounds Sovietistic. :)

Ohohooh I can't wait anymore!

Got more facts for ya. Translated from the PC Gameplay magazine (some you'll already know):

  • PC Gameplay had an interview with executive producer Mike Verdu and game designer Jason Bender.

[*]It´s the year 2047. From an unknown location a nuclear fireball is fired at the high-tech GDI spacebase Philadelphia. Millions of people witness an enormous flash and see Philadelphia going down. Kane and his Brotherhood of NOD laugh at the sight. Right after the attack Kane orders his elite Black Hand Shock Troopers to eliminate any remaining GDI troops and to cause terror all over the world. NOD uses the media for example for propaganda. The GDI is about to be destroyed. One brave GDI officer however doesn´t want to give up. He plans to unite the spreaded en demoralised GDI troops. He is going to take the battle on against the great NOD army. You are that GDI officer. Welcome back, Commander.

[*] 3 campaigns, GDI, NOD and a not yet revealed party. The magazine hopes it will be the Aliens (Scrin). In the GDI campaign you eventually have a big battle against NOD and eventually you will have to capture Kane.

[*] The NOD campaign is totally different. You follow the orders of Kane and you have to make his plan work. At the start of the mission you usually don´t know what the goal is. NOD wants to get as many civilians to join them so they can capture certain locations and defeat GDI. NOD is working on a secret Tiberium project which is revealed late in the game.

[*] Mike Verdu didn´t want to say a lot about the third party. Only that it has a strong bond with Tiberium and that their goal is to spread Tiberium all over the planet. (Obviously the Scrin)

[*] The campaign map is divided in several coloured zones. Blue zones (30% of the map) are zones that almost haven´t been harmed by Tiberium and that haven´t suffered from great wars. About 20% of the world population lives here. There are also yellow zones (50% of the map). About 80% of the human population lives here. The yellow zones have suffered a lot from the many Tiberium wars and are highly toxicated by Tiberium. Finally there are the red zones. These zones have a lot of tiberiumcrystals, humans can´t live here.

[*] GDI wants to get rid of the Tiberium, but on the other hand they also need Tiberium to fund the war. NOD sees Tiberium as the future (mutating people).

[*] C&C3 has to be fast, fluid and fun Verdu and Bender say. Fast gameplay, units that quickly follow orders, a good view on the battlefield without hassle with the camera and pure pleasure are things that have to make C&C3 a great RTS title.

[*] C&C3 will be take more inspiration from Tiberian Dawn than it's successor Tiberian Sun.

[*] GDI Orca, GDI Mammoth Tank, NOD Stealth Tank, NOD Flame Tank and the Commando are units that appear in CC3. However the developers still have doubts about the NOD subterrainian units.

[*] GDI has one giant Mech unit and NOD also has a Mech unit. (probably stolen technology)

[*] The advanced Tiberian Sun units like the Cyborgs and the Banshees are gone or will return spruced up in the third party.

[*] Infantry plays an important role in C&C3. NOD and GDI have Riflemen, Missile Troopers and Grenadiers. GDI has a Commando with stealth options which still can destroy buildings with one click. Also the GDI can use the heavy armoured Zone Trooper which is immune to the effects of Tiberium. (The guys with those huge suits)!

[*] GDI also has an APC in which you can put different types of infantry. The infantry can capture buildings and from their fire at the enemy (Urban Combat). Also infantry can capture neutral buildings and so get extra bonuses.

[*]GDI also has a very fast scout Buggy with a turret. Also they have a more modern version of the Mobile Rocket Launcher System (MRLS). GDI also has a unit called The Ridge, a mobile repair unit and a medic has to take care of the infantry. A medic is needed because C&C3 units can gain experience which makes them stronger, they do more damage and often get extra bonuses.

[*] C&C3 for an important part uses a system of upgrades for units, not special abilities. Jason Bender says that there still are some special abilities, like tanks that can dig their selves in so that only the turret is visible. (Tick tank mk2) This way the tank is stronger but not mobile. Bender says they decided to give unit upgrades a more important role. Take the Overlord tank from Generals for example which could be equipped with anti-air turrets. But the essence of the Overlord tank stayed the same, a very heavy tank that could do a lot of damage. This is also what the developers are going to apply in C&C3. You can give the vehicles something extra. For example you can give a tank an anti-air extra or give a fast scout unit an anti-tank extra.

[*] The creators also added some new elements to the C&C-universe. They wanted to reveal 3 of them. Mobile bases, controllable weather effects and combine two units to get a different type of unit. The mobile base is new for C&C and is only for the third party. The base of the third party will be one big moving base, with smaller buildings that are connected with each other. This base can be moved in full, so that you can take them near to Tiberium on the map. This moving base can also be used as one big super unit because of defensive turrets.

[*] Also new in C&C3 is that you can steer your Ion Storms. By doing this you do damage to enemy units, but there are also units in the game that can heal in an Ion Storm.

[*] The combining of one unit with an other unit is also going to be surprising. This feature particularly goes for the third party, but also GDI and NOD can combine different units to a new unit. For example you can combine a tank with a flying scout unit, or you can combine the NOD Stealth Tank with a different unit so that it also gets Stealth. Bender has always been fascinated by the relationship between the Ghost and the Nuclear Strike in Starcraft. This system of depending on each other is also going to be introduced in CC3. For example you can target a spot with the GDI Spotter which can be destroyed by an Orca Air Strike.

Interview

Why did you guys wait so long with making a new C&C?

Mike Verdu: C&C3 has been in development for a long time, but it took a while before everyone was at the same line and for the technology to become better. One thing is for sure: everything that is working on the project is very happy that we are going to make GDI and NOD come back to live.

To avoid possible misunderstandings: does this new C&C3 still have anything to do with CC3: Tiberian Twilight that was dropped off several years ago?

Mike Verdu: For a while we worked on a new C&C, but the development didn´t go as we expected so the game was put on hold for a while.

Who is developing this new C&C?

Mike Verdu: C&C3 is developed by EALA which helped with the development of Red Alert 2, CC: Generals and Battle For Middle Earth 1 and 2. At this time about 60 programmers and artists in Los Angeles work on the game.

What can we expect of the graphics?

Jason Bender: C&C3 uses the latest 3D RTS-engine of EALA, a much more improved version of the engine that was used for Battle for Middle Earth 2. C&C3 has an incredible detail, great light- and Bloom-effects and advanced features like Normal Maps. The water also looks amazing, but in particular it will be the explosions that are going to steal the show!

The C&C-universe is known for it´s great FMV (Full Motion Video) sequences and animations. What can we expect of this new title?

Mike Verdu: A classic C&C-game has to have a spectacular FMV-presentation, so the FMV-sequences will return in all their glory and will look better.

Will Joseph Kucan again take the role of Kane?

Mike Verdu: At the moment we can´t say that with certainty because we just started with the casting. But we already can say with certainty that EVA will return.

What can we expect of the multiplayer options?

Jason Bender: C&C3 will of course feature the classic options and will have integrated clan-options and feature Voice-over-internet-Protocol. Currently we are working hard on the AI Style of Play-options. With this you can give the AI certain game styles which than can be chosen by the player. Do you want to practice in attacking with a rush, than give the AI Player Rush. If you want to build your base slowly and destroy a well defended enemy slowly but good than set the AI to Turtle. And so there will be a lot of game styles that are inspired by the AI of Generals and Zero Hour but that will be a lot more advanced if it´s about AI.

That all sounds very good. One last question: when can we expect C&C3: Tiberium Wars in stores?

Mike Verdu: That will be somewhere in 2007. We can´t say when exactly at this time.

May I thank you for this interview?

Mike and Jason: It was a pleasure.

Well now that's public, no need to keep asking if I know anything else. It's all here!

I like the thought of using spotters for airstrikes. =D

There is one major flaw with the story.

THERE ARE NO BOB-FORSAKEN COUNTRIES ANYMORE!!!!

I thought that was clear in TS. The boundaries may have been there, but the countries had no structure, failing economies, no military support, unless Nod or GDI decided to defend them, no police or fire departments, and seemingly no governemt. Nod and GDI had the run of the planet in TS with no UN or EU or US or anybody saying anything. I was under the impression that the human population was in a rut at the moment, and governing countries was a low priority as opposed to suriving the Tiberium plague, and choosing to join Nod, GDI, or staying neutral and being protected by GDI anyway.

Although the notion of Nod being the superpower and GDI the castouts is decidely enticing.....

Our friends in red dont appear to be quite dead (yet).

The mobile base thing is sounding pretty cool, as is the unit combinations, upgrades, and the zones on the maps. This is gona be soooo cool.

But only if I get an uber comp.

What really, truly concerns me is the noted departure from the Tiberian Sun type of atmosphere. I mean, no strange alien banshees, no cyborgs, and NO talk of Tiberian life... I dunno :P

Also, I am VERY worried about the Scrin being the likely third side. Though it does sound awesome (the idea of a giant mobile base- what a first for a C&C!), I am still concerned that it will be corny and subtract from the awesome and mysterious power of the Scrin. The less we know the better with them

But yeah, the good DEFINITELY outweighs the potential bad, especially at this point in the game. We have a WHOLE LOT to look forward to people! :D

I dunno, I kinda like that earth can be saved from complete desolation ala the TS atmosphere. I certainly think that red and yellow zones should still be TS-like, but itd be a nice conclusion to the end of the series *eventually* - that earth returns to relative normal. Kinda of like HL: Blue Shift how you finally get to just walk away back to normality.

The tech I may miss a bit (banshees), but Im sure that is where the Scrin may come in.

Hello, anyone still considering that the third side might be the Forgotten? I mean, they can also have mobile bases, they're as close to tiberium as can be and maybe their opinion about tiberium has changed. It's just a suggestion anyways.

I love the mobile bases, combining units and the "unit-promoted" stuff back! As long as they make sure there are loads of mutations in it!

Oh and BTW, about that weird not-mutated tree in the promotional picture, it was like that in ts as well. Check it out:
