I understand that "threats to security" (the silly little threatening president scenario) are not included in rights to free speech.

 

My point is that in the UK, "inciting hatred" is not inluded in rights to free speech.

 

Therefore, what you call 'Big Brother' laws of the UK, are very similar to the no-threatening-the-president laws of the US, only a little stricter.

 

It has nothing to do with big brother, the law is simply saying that there is no place for hate-mongers in the UK.
