Luk3us 63 Posted May 7, 2006 I could care less at the moment. Though after C&C 3 comes out that will change. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted May 7, 2006 Ditto. To be honest I wouldn't care if RA3 never saw the light of day. I hated RA2. In fact I have no wish to see RA3 ever! Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted May 7, 2006 I have a wish to see RA3. Though, I'd prefer a C&C4 over RA3 anytime!!!! Since C&C3 is gonna come out anyhow, I already think in advance  Share this post Link to post
gammyleg 0 Posted May 7, 2006 I concur! To the guillotine with with RA3. RA1 = neat RA2 = not so neat. I think RA3 may eventually come out, and hell, I might even get it if it does, but I have no expectations for it being any good. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted May 7, 2006 I'm on the fence on this one. I still have hope but at the same time, have my doubts. There needs to be one more Red Alert universe game to fill the gap between it and the Tiberian universe. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted May 7, 2006 There needs to be one more Red Alert universe game to fill the gap between it and the Tiberian universe. I doubt that will happen. But besides that, it may still be a good game though. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted May 7, 2006 I've given up on RA3..... for now. Actually I gave up many months ago. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted May 8, 2006 As long as they make it serious... Yeah, a comedic RTS is just lame.... Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted May 8, 2006 I am in the same position as Beowulf... It was always said that there is a connection between the Red Alert universe and Tiberian universe, and I think that there should be a game to verify that saying... But I gave up on RA3 since C&C 3 was announced... Share this post Link to post
gammyleg 0 Posted May 8, 2006 I liked RA1s connection to the Tiberian Universe, how USSRs victory evolves into the brotherhood. Seems kinda plausible. Im not sure how RA2 fits in at all. Is it - RA1 - Allies Win - RA2 RA1 - USSR Wins - Tiberian Dawn - GDI Win - Tiberian Sun Seems possible. They really should release an official way of linking them. I dont mind if they completely seperate the Universes though. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted May 8, 2006 Hm... Very plausible theory... But I think that even if the USSR dosen't win Tiberian Dawn still happens, just later... Again, this calls for another RA game that connects the two universes... Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted May 8, 2006 I agree with Fenring. They should link the two. But only after saying that RA2 was just an alternate take on C&C. Allies win, then RA2, then modern world, nothing happens (maybe generals for those of you who think its a C&C game  ) RA1 - RA3 - TD - TS - TT ect. Thats how it should be. Throw in Renegade and Renegade II wherever they need to be, and long live C&C :cnc3: Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted May 8, 2006 RA1 - Allies Win - RA2RA1 - USSR Wins - Tiberian Dawn - GDI Win - Tiberian Sun That's how we modders connect the dots. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted May 9, 2006 Sure, but only when you actually finish a mod Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted May 9, 2006 No no no no no no....... after RA2, the Soviets LOSE, sending all of Russia into a massive economic depression. From the dark depths of this mess rises Kane, with all the power of a pissed off country behind him. It's just like Hitler... charismatic crazy people like that are only enabled during dark times in the country's history. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Hell, here's another take on the entire C&C story: http://planetcnc.gamespy.com/View.php?view...Detail&id=2 I've re-read this thing one so many times... P.S. RA2 and Generals are in another section, and what I've linked is the index page... Share this post Link to post
gammyleg 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Wow, that PC&C thing is a really good read, they've really done their research. Its exactly how I figured the universe ran, but with a whole bunch more insight. I never thought of the Black Hand that killed Archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo being linked to the Black Hand of Nod. It seems so obvious now. With how rich the storyline is, it really does become apparent how insignificant to the whole story RA2 was. Im glad PC&C haven't included it in this story line as per BWares theory. Dont get me wrong, BWares is still very plausible, but RA2 doesnt add anything to the tiberian storyline. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Yeah... It's not really that important, the story of RA2, but it can be joined... Like a secondary or optional piece... And I love that PC&C had that insight on tech used... Makes me wonder how smart those guys are... Share this post Link to post
gammyleg 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Alot of the tech background used was released by Westwood back in the day - definately true of the RA1 gear. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted May 9, 2006 Considering that PC&C is sponsored by GameSpy... Maybe that's one reason they have alot of info on the entire C&C series along with other games... Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted May 10, 2006 You do know that gamespy is in turn owned and opperated by B.L. Ackhand industries, right ? Share this post Link to post

However, if the Soviets win RA1, you forfeit RA2's story completely. Share this post Link to post
