But they HAVE revealed what they're planning to do. Have you read the "scientific" mumbo jumbo the released that was written up by some MIT scientists? That coupled with the actual pics of the Tiberium (and the conspicuous lack of Tiberium-based mutations) is more than enough reason to criticize at this point. We can already see, clearly, which direction they're heading with it.

granted we know Silicon works, but for a race as advanced as the Scrin, Im willing to bet they can do better than silicon.

Agh.... Silicon is perfectly good for a life form! There wouldn't be any impedance to there evolution! There planet could easily have formed millenia before ours and had life on it! It makes more sense that they would release a toxin that would be harmfull to just us than one that could backfire and hurt them. So far TB seems to affect all carbon based life..... So im GUESSING The Scrin arn't carbon based..... they could be play-dough based for all i know

Back to the silicon thing, I hope they don't even attempt that idea. Some of you may remember an RTS game published by Eidos called "Conquest Earth" The aliens that had landed to invade the earth were made purely out of the stuff, and all units, structures were created out of silicon grunts. It was a cool concept, but the game was totally crap.

I doubt that the "silicon alien" concept contributed all that much to the lousy score (looks like the game just sucked in general), but the concept is definitely a huge misunderstanding about what silicon based life would really be. It would NOT BE METALLIC or electrical or anything like that. Silicon based life does NOT equal robots. Sheesh. It's like saying that, since we're carbon based, we should all be coal and diamond monsters! Oooohhh! :roll: See? Exactly.
