C&C 3 - hazardous

Recommended Posts

cyg's gotta point about the alliance........but um about cliche's...in this day and age it is hard to come up with something that isn't....either the conclusion is good or bad.....

but look at it more optimistically....it will be a surprise what the game's story and conclusion will be...so enjoy the surprise

i must follow King's steps and by my own will assume that the game will be legitimate...if not awesome :P

Right, many things are used over and over again, but seeing as how GDI and Nod teamed up against Cabal, who was the "mastermind" behind Nod's initial sucess...then the Allies and Soviets teamed up against Yuri who was the "mastermind" behind the initial Soviet sucess.....you see where I'm going here. Cliches are hard to avoid, but having EA pull the same one on us 3 times in a row is a bit much. I think they are smart enough to make a kick ass story without going back to the same old junk.

Kane would never ally with GDI, only Slavik would. And now Kane's back.

Good point. In fact, thats really good. And seeing as how Kane may (or may not be) part of Cabal (or the same thing).....TW should prove to be very interesting indeed.

I'm wondering what Kane will do to Slavik...

And what side Kane will be joining

Guest MadBadger

has anyone thought of 2 Nod factions? one Slaviks Nod and a Kane/Cabal Nod that 'apears'? the Kane/Cabal Nod could end up as the Scrin but not imediatly.

as for the uber big crystals.....

Maybe the BIG crystals are replacing the Ripararus? there could be smaller crystals all around them ;)

Yup in FS there were these HUGE blue tiberium crystals that produced blue tiberium.

Well, IMO (opinion only) the Green tib crystals just look way too big, in previous games I always viewed tib as small, leg sized in crystal shape with a sponge comb at the base simular to mould at the base of certain mushrooms.

I always thought infantry would be able to walk ontop of tib crystals, not have to climb over them.

There is a batch of tiberium just above the harvester that is good in size and shape. It's alot smaller than other crustals. But that tib would be the max size I would want green tib to be like.

Green should be produced by turning a blossum tree into the Ripararus.

The tib effect on the ground is good also, making it look as though the earth around the crystals is useless even if the tib is removed.

The corrosian effect the tib has on that powerline looks cool too. Also, there needs to be that errie green glow that was in TS/FS. It still looks very sunny in the screenshot.

Giant crystals like those should be strictly for blue tiberium stacks that spread blue tib (forgot the name of it) but perhaps a bit bigger.

And yes, I know this is meant to be a "Yellow Zone".

@ Badger - I've mentioned thoughts about a breakaway Nod Faction lead by Slavik when he wonders about Kane's "return" and the workings of Cabal. I think Slavic may see some of whats going on, but Kane/Cabal will have most of Nod back to his side, leaving Slavic with his Elite Cadre and the Black Hand. Should prove to be interesting, if it happens.

Yeah, like a splinter group of sorts... Personally, I'm not that crazy with this game already, the waiting has got to me already...

I've been waiting for TT since 2000 when I finished FS....

but anywho, It looks somewhat promising. Besides, its new C&C. We all "hated" Generals/ZH, yet we all had fun playing them (maybe stil do, for those of us with respectable graphics cards)

Generals had good gameplay, no one could fault that. That's why I believe that if the story is right in this one, C&C 3 will be the best ever. We'll have the solid gameplay, and all the other elements we've been dying for. This game is already a surefire winner!

We may have to get used to a few storyline changes, but I can't see that being a problem

As long as the storyline changes are MINOR

We should be fine. Graphics and gameplay shouldnt be a problem. Plus with Ion Storms and Tiberium, its sure to win. Or at least have a good run.

Hmm, I want C&C 3 to have something like this...

Okay we all know the ping thing right? Got good ping you're good on ZH, thats what people think. I want where you can see their CPU, RAM, and video card or at least their CPU. That way if you want a totally lag free game, its easier to get one.

Oh but I can. It would be blasphemy to destroy the legacy of C&C.... and they're at the most pivotal part too! The Scrin are secretly behind just about EVERYTHING... if they botch them and make them the typical, laughable aliens we see in dozens of other games, C&C as we know it will be screwed.
