CnCBacano 0 Posted August 17, 2006 I saw it in EA brasil here: http://www.brasil.ea.com/images/screenshot..._paint_01b-.jpg BTW looks like it has a machine gun on the top , maybe its AA. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted August 17, 2006 Its a concept shot, which means little. But its still cool. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted August 18, 2006 It is. But what's that stuff it's grinding up? Surely that isn't Tiberium! Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted August 18, 2006 Posted in the news, http://www.cncnz.com/news/view.php?Action=...&NewsID=188 Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Bware, it dosen't seem to be griding anything... P.S. The MG might be like the War Miner in RA2... Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted August 25, 2006 hopefully. It was a great annoyance in TS with the harvester drivers on crack and not being protected. However as soon as they get guns and teleporters, the harvester quit being stupid (RA2) Share this post Link to post
ORCaLoVeR 0 Posted August 29, 2006 It aint a ingame shot,so it aint sure that the harvester will carry a machine gun(example:on the box of generals deluxe edition,u see a paladin tank with a machine gun,but ingame,it doesnt have any) Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted August 29, 2006 true enough. but the guns on the Soviet harvesters is a good idea, so Im hoping that we might see something similar to either GDI, Nod or the Scrin (now theres an interesting concept...) harvesters. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted August 30, 2006 The Scrin will not use harvesters as such, rather like the GLA and Yuri they will have minions that'll collect Tiberium to take to the Hive. Funny thing is EA are sticking almost to Westwood concepts but updating slightly. The Nod Powerplant and the GDI harvester are perfect examples.... With the exception of a few changes these 2 examples are fairly identical to the Westwood versions. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted August 30, 2006 hopefully. It was a great annoyance in TS with the harvester drivers on crack and not being protected. However as soon as they get guns and teleporters, the harvester quit being stupid (RA2) TD & RA1 were worse! Those guys were like... The retards of C&C society. But on TS you could have harvester truces. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted August 30, 2006 On TS you could also have harvester demo trucks quite useful, if you could spare the cash. @ King - Hive you say...... Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted August 30, 2006 i didnt really like the look of the nod refinary Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Well, let's hope EA will read what we're posting here so they can see what we CNC fiends want. Share this post Link to post
Mario 0 Posted September 3, 2006 looks cool i wonder what the nod one wil look like Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Probably almost the same, except it's red, as usual with everything that's Nod... But really, I care alot about the defensive capabilities of harvesters since they're the blood of your economy... I don't want them to be like those in RA which got ripped apart by Apaches or Migs... That really ticked me off! Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted September 3, 2006 Nope, the Nod one does look different, it's more insect like if you would call it that. Plus I believe some people says it hovers above ground for extra speed, but carries slightly less. Share this post Link to post

comander starlin 6 Posted September 5, 2006 that makes scene EA have to get the balancing right, because if it is no right they will create the big problem again like they did in generals with those alpha aurora's , but i trust EA i know they would be working very hard on balancing the games properties, and aspects. Cygnus X-1 12 Posted September 6, 2006 I liked the strategy involved with harvester hunting in RA and TS. Although the crack addicted harvy drivers in RA were completly worthless in combat. IE, drive AWAY from the enemy.....as opposed to going down the middle of the Mammoth Tank Gauntlet. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted September 6, 2006 You know, I'm kinda sick of the harvester bashing going on... it's not fair to the drivers! In most cases, there obviously WEREN'T drivers at all! They just put a brick down on the gas and set the harvesters free! I mean, what else could explain some of the "AI" decisions made by them? Share this post Link to post
comander starlin 6 Posted September 6, 2006 yea the Red Alert 1 harvester was messed up and the Technician that came out of it was just as bad, but i found for mowing down infantry (excuse the pun) that harvester was pretty good. here is a good vid of that really bad Technician in, Technician Battle by: HeXetic http://planetcnc.gamespy.com/View.php?view...Detail&id=7 makes a good laugh Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted September 7, 2006 Aside from the lack of shroud clearing ability and the 1-1000000 kill to death ratio, technicians really arent that bad... Share this post Link to post
Guest Maul Posted December 8, 2006 maybe its like the mod harvesters with lasers so it can defend itself? Share this post Link to post
Mario 0 Posted December 8, 2006 Nope, the Nod one does look different, it's more insect like if you would call it that. Plus I believe some people says it hovers above ground for extra speed, but carries slightly less. not sure if thats a good thing or bad Share this post Link to post
