Stargate SG1, great series. TVNZ played it on Saturday afternoons so I always missed it

You loser, you spelt Star Trek wrong! However, with the serious decline in the series of late (Pff, that stupid ass Enterprise bull****!) I suppose thats alright...

Battlestar Galactica was pretty cool also. Stargate as well, even though it went for wayyy to long but still. ;)

Since this is "world's best Sci-Fi", I can't honestly vote for any one of those :?.

My vote would go for the Dune series by Frank Herbert .

Why is it that Star Wars didn't even make the list?

Star Trek...

Oh yes, I see Bware is violating Forum rules once again with his sig... hee

Cute.

You know Reagan died from a disease that could have been cured with stem cell... poetic justice if you ask me.

BTW How is the fight in Florida going B?

Yes, dropping in for a spell.

I put other there so if you clicked it you could voice your opinion.

this is just an interesting trend to find out what Si-Fi shows/movies/Saga's that every one likes.

I just find it interesting.

I also like The Twilight Zone

I also wont voice my opinion on Star Wars.

Split this topic. Continuing from cnc_sage's post below:

Anyways, my vote goes to Frank Herbert's Dune!

But Command and Conquer is a close second.

Since that post :P

As far as Sci-fi went, Quantum Leap rocked too! OK it wasn't hugely Sci-fi, but the fundamental basics of the storyline makes it so. I still watch everyday re-runs on TV. Absolute classic in my eyes.

Babylon 5 was good when it was around. It had the makings of being a compeditor to Star Trek. Although I can't remember why it had to come to an end, that too was a classic.

War of the Worlds is another classic. And I'm not talking Spielberg's disaster of a movie that effectively failed to recreate the story (The 1950's B-Movie was better). HG Wells masterpiece is beyond words of description. And when Jeff Wayne recreated the story and made his own masterpiece through the audio storybook, it created a huge cult following.

I wonder what the RTS of War of the Worlds was like. I saw someone selling it for about a £1 ($1.88.) the other week, but didn't actually pick it up. It's about the only RTS I've never played to some extent. Not even the demo.

and Lost.

So are half it's viewers :P

The first season was quite good, I thought we we're gonna have a decent Castaway style series that focussed heavily on the lives and the psychology of the marooned plane crash survivors. That was until they found that trap door at the end of the season. Now it's just got all strange.

What's even stranger in my opinion is how the fat guy hasn't shed a single bit of weight since his time on the island. Very Weird.

Star Wars. I find it not as geeky as the others (fans do not droll over every specification of the X Wing the way they do over, say, an Enterprise shuttle) and it is great to have it rule the roost once again. C&C is not sci fi in my opinion, it is war.

you are right in saying it is a war/s but it is deffinatly a Si-Fi, at the moment i am still watching Jericho, i just completed the 4th episode, it has got me hooked. mind you good question what Si-Fi has the most obsessive fan base?
