another update Canada has been playing the new episodes of Stargate Atlantis we now are at season 3 episode 16 after a long wait from episode 10, the story kicks back off with the replicators siege on Atlantis, they have taken control of the city and they are about to use it while Gen. Jack O'Neill, and Richard Woolsey are trapped in the city. so the Atlantis team disobeys orders to try and save them.... very good episode for episode 11. and is worth watching.

Relly think TS and FS is the best Sci-Fi game ever made!.

I just love the way westwood made the landscapes, I mean:

Mutated areas.

Confused civillians in the middle of a war.

Mutants trying to sruvive the savage.

High tech GDI with stunning mechs and stunning Sci-Fi buildings.

High tech underground NOD corporation trying to take over the world.

And again the way ruined towns look. The civillian buildings look stunning, and also looks great in the tundra.

well...

Command & Conquer = Sci-Fi strategy king!

no worries i forgot about the Twilight Zone.

lol i was looking up info on Stargate and i found this....

http://www.tv.com/stargate-infinity/show/1...results;title;2

Stargate: Infinity

lol i remember this from a while ago, it didn't do all that well. hay that is why it only got 1 season.

and you should know that the Stargate Fps game called 'Stargate SG-1: The Alliance' was canceled a while ago, and i must say it looked good. it used a modified version of the Unreal engine. here is a tralier that was shown at a E3 for the game

well i found a mod for half life 2 which is bacicly "the last Stand" and that looks just as good as the official SG-1 game

here is the wiki for The Alliance game

Hm... I don't really know... First choice would be Star Wars (not listed)... Then Star Trek (listed)... But I've decided the bloodiest sci-fi universe ever: Warhammer 40,000 (not listed)! I just love the game! And the PC games rock! Bloody corpses! The Bloodthirster killing hordes of Eldar! Space Marine Juggernauts throwing Chaos Horror Squads! Eldar Avatars slashing through Tau V-88 Crisis Battle Suits! Tau Greater Knarloc stomping like a T-Rex! Imperial Guards coming by the hundreds to purge Heretics! And my personal favorite... Necron Monoliths and warriors coming down and raining all hell, unstoppable by anything! Whoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted: Total mayhem and fun!

P.S. I got over the top. And I forgot the Orks chopping up Necron warriors.

I love science fiction in tv or movies. I find that I love a lot of tv shows over movies... it's all about development.

I think Dune is the cream of the crop in terms of complexity, originality, and detail.

I think Babylon 5 has to be applauded for the scope of vision ie a 5yr storyline - with very credible science & technology.

I think the Stargate universe has to recognised for finding the balance between action, science and humour, which has allowed the series to last, and to continue strongly. This has probably a lot to do with Richard - as anyone else.

I think Star Wars has to be awarded for the most dubious science but deepest pentration of the general public. That aside, I think ep4 is one the best movies of all time.

I think Doctor Who has to be congratulated for it's ability to reinvent itself again and again... or should that be regenerate?

I think the latest Battlestar series is just smart & sexy, eye-candy-delicious... and I'm just talking about the SFX let alone the gals. I guess God & sex do go together sometimes! LOL.

I guess most people would credit Star Trek for 7 of 9, but I prefer to think of ST in terms of the books. They have some really talented writers in there - who create some really though-provoking situtations ie the post series books of DS9. The TV series, diminished down to just eye candy at the end.

There's heaps more good stuff in anime, like ghost in the shell, appleseed, original robotech, transformers etc. Heaps more cultish scifi out there that has carved it's niche but will never get mainstream recognition... like V, Firefly/Serenity, Blade Runner, 2001, Terminator Series.

Have I missed your favourite... well it's probably listed here.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_science_fiction_films

And just to end off in a completely different direction - I'm going to end off with 5th Element!!!

so is Si-Fi=Sci-Fi??

CnC was brilliant untill Tiberium Wars which really messed the whole thing up, Kane and The Scrin are the only things that make it interesting anymore.

This thread is ancient guys... Please don't dig up old topics. It just makes things look untidy around here.
