C&C 3 Expansion Screen Shot? Real or Fake?

So this image has been floating around the community recently. Its a screen shot from the expansion pack? I doubt it...... Shows off 2 new units....

Yea I say fake too. The spinning look on the helicopter thing looks like it's not EA made or fits, so I say fake. Never know though, I just want to see where the story goes from Nod.

It says console Radial Test on the top left. Personally I think that EA may be expanding C&C 3 to the PS3. The analogue sticks on the Playstation pad would work well with such an interface.

 

It may be entirely possible that if this was to be true, the game would be out for Christmas time and would (due to Blu-Ray's extra storage) most probably come with the expansion as well.

 

I wouldn't rule this out as fake just yet. This may be EA's big announcement, the expansion and C&C 3 coming to the PS3 (with expansion) in a single announcement... They did say it would be big afterall. :wink:

 

I know one thing though. This type of interface is going back to the Generals style play infused with BfME2 style building. But in terms of playing the game on the console, it's extremely streamlined and well created by any means.

 

Holy crap, if this pic is official, it's probably the first positive thing I've ever said about C&C 3!

pic could be real but i dont think its for the PS3 sense they already have it for 360, and 360 is more popular then PS3 and they go for popularity of the systems. thats how they do things, such like

 

dragonball Z Budokai: tenkiachi 3 will NOT be on the PS3 and only for Wii and PS2 because the PS2 is by far more popular then PS3(stated by one of the creators) and its highly possible for it to be on 360 after tenk 3 because its quite popular and they have more to work with

 

did you guys know they werent even going to make PS3 yet but they did because all the other companys that made xbox and gamecube were all coming out with a more adcanced system so they wanted to catch up fast and they made PS3

But EA still went ahead and made sure that games such as NFS: Carbon and Def Jam ICON were released on the PS3 despite the lower market share in systems.

 

While they may go for more popular systems, in Europe the PS3 is already close to overtaking the 360 in system sales, and since the Europeans (especially the Germans) are huge RTS nuts, I wouldn't rule anything out at this stage.

 

EA also do things like milk franchises, even an extra few 250,000 PS3 sales of C&C would be highly beneficial to EA, and they know that.

i also believe they made PS3 cost so much to try and show off or w/e sens there was about a 200 dollar difference between each system

 

and from what ive seen they shouldnt of wasted there time making PS3 if the graphics werent that great of a increase then the PS2.... atleast 360 actually GREATLY improved on the graphics, i truly have no intrest in the PS3... kinda pathetic really... i mean multiple pple payed 9000 dollars on ebay buying the PS3 because of its name... and unless PS3 lowers there prices(under 360) and get rid of most glitches they prob wont put C&C 3 on PS3 for now, but they could for other countries. but anything is possible

Hmm... Might just be a nice photoshop job to me. Nothing in that really screams fake except for that weird "tank" icon and the helicopter. The copter doesn't seem to fit in with what the rest of the C&C3 units look like...

 

So at this time I'm leaning towards fake....

 

Besides GDI already have a decent helicopter in the form of the orca, so adding another one is kinda lame...

Could also be a screenshot from a XBox 360 test version? Maybe they removed the 'new' units we see here from the final game. Me thinks they started with a BfME2 control system on the 360 version, and only later created the current system.

The screen shot came from one of the German C&C sites. I forget which one.

Not to make an old forum pop up again, and plus its been awhile since ive been on the forums, I have to lean towards fake, but make no mistake, it is a possibility.

 

The "anti-air" tank seems pretty cool and make no mistake, GDI does need some good anti air cover from the scrin, but the helicopter does not make any sense. :?

 

The game screen however could just be, like many have said, just a test to see C&C in another game setting. Maybe EA, not saying its them or just them, is developing C&C command and control themes. By that I mean you can adjust the way you want to play C&C (Like a old classic command and control theme, the generals control setup, or this new setup). Catch my drift?
