Recommended Posts

The special update edition of BattleCast Primetime is now live and available for viewing on the Official C&C 3 Site. So what's inside this episode? Here's the summary.....

In this special edition of Battlecast Primetime, host David divulges some highly sought after Scrin sub-faction secrets from Kane's Wrath, and also brings you exclusive coverage of the C&C League season one tournament, answers your questions in Ask a Silverman, and alludes to something quite dramatic coming this month...well, you'll have to watch this new special edition episode to find out more!

That was rather average really. And bloody short...

It wasn't a full BattleCast Primetime show, just an update edition. I'm sure that was made clear enough.

C&C TV on ITunes? WOW!! that's so..... incredibly boring.

Anyone want to take a stab and guessing what this other "dramatic" news could be about?

Why yes, I could make an educated guess. They say it's for people with a Special Edition/Kane Edition, right? So perhaps they are releasing a mappack of OMC4 for these people? The maps which were also for Kane's Wrath?

Maybe they'll get another bonus pack with C&C95?

Just kidding :P

Anyway, I'm glad they're finally working on releasing C&CTV in 720p. B)

But from what I understand, it will only be available through iTunes?

C&C Kane's Wrath Multiplayer moves to Windows Live! Get your Live! access code in your Kane's Wrath Expansion soon! Extra Limited Gameplay at your fingertips! Pay for the features you once got for free!

or

On a more serious note, it'll probably include an extra special edition disc with the usual Making of, concept art, and possibly even the MP3 soundtrack. But we all know really that it's a seriously cool huge announcement... which will be so bitterly anti-climatic, you'll wonder why you even bothered thinking what it could be.

I find it rather ironically funny that they can get so ecstatic over crap to make it sound like the best thing since the invention of the wheel. But when it's a new and interesting game like Tiberium, they never sound absolutely excited about the event.

I can see a new patch in the future coming for Tiberium and it'll be along the lines of "Oh my god, we've got a new super awesome, absolutely uber exciting....... BALANCE CHANGE!! Yes! That's right! How cool is that!!!!! Oh and on a lighter note there's a new expansion coming out in the summer 2009, yeah... that's all really."

The EA Marketing machine really has its head up its own backside.

The Ipod announcement was really unnecessary, but apart from that, imho, EAs marketing is first rate, especially with all the partnerships and CnCTV.

No one actually mentions the Scrin? Loved every fiber of what theyve shown.

And Ask a Silverman actually featured better questions than Ask a Dev usually does.

lol.. Ask a Silverman. That Ask a Dev is so ****, they always pick the really stupid noob questions and ignore anything that is even slightly interesting.

Man, you guys are on fire today. We've got the usual old Saracen back, and Sonic can only point out that putting C&C TV on iTunes is boring. Well thats fine, but millions of people who use iTunes that may not know about C&C TV or those of you who do and like to use iTunes, may actually find it cool. It is cool. As soon as we put an episode up, it will download to your iTunes if you have subscribed. You can then watch it on your computer and not have to worry about streaming it on our site if that bothers you, or on your ipod, or on your HD TV if you have Apple TV. Its news and its cool and its just another way to get C&C TV out there to more people and continue trying to grow our community and audience. If you're not into iTunes, then I agree, it is boring to you. I think as leaders of the community however, its always nice to encourage those who do like iTunes and C&C TV to check out an easier way to watch and get the shows.

If thats boring to you, cool, but its news and thats why we put it on the show. I like your humor though.

What we are doing on February 14th is not "revolutionary", we learned our over-marketing lesson on that one the hard way from you guys and everyone else. But what will happen on the 14th is worthy of being noted as it was in C&C TV. I look forward to seeing your reactions then.

Whether you like it or not, you're thinking about it now, and no matter what you think it is, you're contemplating and you'll want to know as much as everyone else. I think thats kind of fun =)

I'd love to see comments about the rest of the show, the Scrin, the 5, etc.

We are finding that while people like a 40 min show, the majority only like certain parts. We are trying some new things out in formatting to continue to improve. Any feedback towards that would be great.

We're here to please and excite you guys, you're not just another cog in our machine.

Thanks,

APOC

p.s. - love the new forum software, this is my favorite forum tech by far

Chill Apoc, its alright :)

Its sure great for Ipod users, but i guess most thought "BIG NEWS" is something for everyone, while it clearly isnt.

And see my post for the Scrin ;)

As for the 5, i didnt bother to watch it yet, but Mr. Silverman now actually answered intriguing questions, however, i dont want to wait a month ever for such short episode. There could have been something done to prolong it, like more questions answered, since it was quite a short segment in every BCPT anyways. Or what about demonstrating how Global Conquest mode and the campaign looks and plays?

If you ask me, KW is going to be awsome, altough i hope EA left some pleasant surprises in there (Like more CGI vids? Special commandos for every subfaction? :P) Also, ill lean out the window and say everyone who is even remotely interested in CnC loves CnCTV, every show got better, even Aftermath Ep 5 was useful this time around.

Now go to the Tiberium section and clarify some aspects :P When is there going to be more coverage?

I'm chill as ice Hagren, don't take my comments as any heat, while I am neutral 99.9% of the time, I have my .01% moment to rant halfway with a bit of my own sarcasm as well =) I usually let people dish it to me, but not always.

I am actually not going to be your official Community Manager on Tiberium. I am sure you are surprised, but let me tell you, i'm excited that I don't have to add another game to my plate when I have so much else to do with our RTS franchise. Very soon, i'll be introducing you guys to you new Tiberium Community Manager. He'll be delivering you all the news, content, answers, etc.

I think you guys have quite a bit of info out there now between all the previews and screens in the last week, I would not expect to hear more Tiberium info until later this month at the earliest, but i'll let your new Tiberium Community Manager take reigns on that.

He and I will still work closely together, so not to worry, but for once in my 3-year Community Manager career, I am loosening up the chains and being more realistic about my time. Tiberium needs as much community love and dedication as we do for C&C 3 and Kane's Wrath, and I can't give it my full 100% with everything else on my plate.

You'll meet him soon =)

As for BattleCast Primetime, we purposely made it shorter to try out a new format and because we are ramping up towards the launch of Kanes Wrath and are not going to spill out all the info on the game in one dose, you know how we work at this time of a game launch =)

Appreciate the support, please don't mind my offbeat humor and mild-heat back sometimes, I don't often get a chance to be human on the message boards, but once in a while, I try. Besides, Sonic is an understanding mate, and runs a great site here. I enjoy his opinions as much as anyones.

Cheers,

APOC

Well then can you at least answer three questions which are flying around?

Im a bit saddened that its not you, but its understandable of course. Is it coming out in 08, anyway?

And so is there something from KW that hasnt been revealed yet? ;)

Oh and what about BCPT after KWs released?

Sorry I should have made my comment more clear. Yeah its boring for me because I think iTunes is just horrible bloatware and I don't need or want an Ipod. But for those who use it good for them. As long BCPT and other C&C TV shows remain available as they are now.

The first two questions are easy.

1. Yeah, march.

2. Yeah, if they revealed everything, where would the element of surprise be?

But I did hear a relation between the C&C3 Special Edition/Kane Edition and the announcement... or did they say Kane's Wrath . And I only heard what I wanted to hear .

:o Apoc has succeeded . It's only 2 weeks of waiting... one of which I'll spend completely working, so it feels like I won't have to wait ;)

The first two questions were aimed at Tiberium, and i agree with you on the second answer, thats why i asked ;)

That meteor power is awesome... :yum:

And so is the fact that Mammoths can finally be squished! The pride of the GDI armor division has just been **** on by Kane himself! :P

Yeah I liked both aspects... but it seems strange that the scrin would send tiberium down as a weapon... aren't they trying to harvest it? Sure they are the only ones capable of raining tiberium hail, but using tiberium as a weapon is more Nod style (although not exclusively)... just more their style. They probably just don't have the technology really to do it.

So far, I think the Epic units should be able to crush EVERYTHING in their way.

(Imagine if they could deform the map terrain and create new access points...)

Can you tell I like making simple things needlessly complicated!?!?
