Sonic 296 Posted April 5, 2008 APOC has posted a Red Alert 3 Q&A Archive thread on the Official C&C Forums. And its going to be an important thread to keep an eye because APOC will updating it when more questions get answered. I've posted one sample question below. Will naval play be the emphasis in RA3 or have land, sea and air all been balanced so all are of equal importance? Navy is going to be a core gameplay element with Red Alert 3, the ability to build on land and sea will be instrumental in your gameplay strategies. Certainly with respect to gameplay balance, we are treating land, sea, and air with equal importance. We definitely don’t want one area of the game having a significant advantage over the other, we need equal balance comrades! Check out the full thread right here. If you want ask a Red Alert 3 related question you can post it by clicking here. APOC will do his best to get it answered for you. Share this post Link to post
fox34343 1 Posted April 5, 2008 Will squads be in RA3? All units are individually controlled. There are no squads in RA3. I love this >_> Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted April 5, 2008 Good, no dumb squads. I hated that about C&C3. Share this post Link to post

Sonic 296 Posted April 6, 2008 Me either, I think the squads idea worked fine in C&C 3. Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted April 6, 2008 I didn't like the fact that a squad as "unit" looses effectivity when health is lost. on the other hand it's realistic that soldiers are in squads, but it's funnier with the micro management. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 6, 2008 Its not really a squad if you ask me. As you should be able to add or subtract units in squads. And its not as though they act like a unit, just a bunch of people really. I don't really care either way though, infantry FTW! Share this post Link to post
rEdaSbLood 1 Posted April 7, 2008 i like the squads, gives it a more epic feel. they shouldn't have a limit on units though, or at least have a high limit.. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted April 7, 2008 Think of it this way..... squads or no squads, they are still cannon fodder. Share this post Link to post
hagren 0 Posted April 7, 2008 Add xy individual infantry to a group---> Zing! you have a squad  Theyre not cannon-fodder, btw, especially if garrisonable buildings are back. Share this post Link to post

Gben 20 Posted April 18, 2008 interesting. I had got used to C&C squads - but I think I'm glad that that they have been removed for RA3. Just like I thought I was glad that they brought back left click interface to C&C3, but after 2-3 attempts to use it, I switched back to original right-click. (It's so hard to switch once you started to learn.) Share this post Link to post
