To be honest I don't think we'll ever be able to get CGI down to the art of "Ultra realistic"..... Sure we'll probably go "WOW" when some studio manages to get close, but then a few months down the line we will see that this so called CG human actually looks quite bad as something else comes out. To be honest, nothing replaces real human flesh. That applies to everything, especially in this Digital Age.

i'm thinking we'll reach advanced robotics before advanced cgi n.n; so cgi will be abadoned for favour of animatronics :3 like the good old days x3 i mean if we managed to make things like The Thing back then imagine what we could do now with our current levels of technology o.o we're one step away from making the terminator a reality. literally... in japan there are already robots which move naturally and breath and look so realistic you can be fooled for as long as 20 seconds before you realise they're not real o.o give it another 5 - 20 years and we will be facing a Data + star trek or blade runner situation o.o;

a whole series focusing on the future war from terminator 2 n_n now THAT would rule... or a live action starship troopers tv series (sure the animated one was cool but live action would be so much better n.n)

meh. the new galactica series sucks and i'm refering to a gritty ground war, NOT little spaceships. spaceships is good but it's been done. i'm thinking terminator 4 will be my savior o.o it's looking pretty darn promising

it was just about watchable... all this smallville crap has to stop >_<; no-one with any real taste would watch something like that and enjoy it. who the heck wants to watch a load of teenagers angsting out? we see enough of that locally outdoors. and it's all the same recipe for every single show like that... it's impossible to make a show with teenagers in without being bombarded by their feelings and emotions. and that DOES NOT make good tv... but then again people like big brother so whatever y'know. probably the same reason i don't like soap operas ¬_¬;

i have lowered my standards xD though i mainly tend to stay with old shows o.o there are some good new stuff out... like Dexter, Chuck, Dr Who and Torchwood (though torchwood finished it's second season at like, the start of this year ;.; )

Well I liked what I saw in the Sarah Connor Chronicles, but I'm a sucker for any tv SCI-FI. I'm also loving Battlestar Galatica but

"Babylon 5" Season 3 is still the best TV ever made!

The story in T4 follows the events of T3 and will be post-apocalyptic including the characters of John Connor and Kate Brewster, the two who survived at the end of the movie. As for whether Nick Stahl and Claire Danes will return, that is dependent on "many factors, including the thoughts of the eventual director and others involved." A Jesus Christ reference in the Terminator world? Is that good or bad, I don't know.

 

T3 was disappointing, I don't know how much of that related to "arnie's bad jokes" or the fact that I just didn't believe the main characters were in any danger. T1 is my fav in the series, but I'll give you that in T2 we're all thinking OMG how are they going to stop that thing!?!?

 

(If computer games didn't exist, I would likely pop out of existence due to some facet of the causality laws of the multiverse or some higemejigmey!)

T4 is gonna be a lot better then T3. by far. i've been following up on it a little and one of my best friends is a fanatic so he's keeping me constantly updated... basically it's gonna be a future war pretty much. from what i understand because it's before the arnie terminator, there isn't gonna be an arnie in it. but there are gonna be 8 foot rubber skinned T-600 terminators and all kindsa stuff. it's possible it may not be as good as the first or second movie but it's gonna be WAY better then the third (not that this is hard to achieve XD) and it should tie up everything nicely into a permanent loop o.o goodie! <3

That would probably means lost the will the live on as time crawls when you are doing nothing. I might probably get freak out and end myself up in the mental hospital.

 

I would be that guy who spends his life on anime/manga and his money on anime plushies/PVCs/costumes/other merchandise. I also would take an intensive japanese language course.

 

And my grades in school would be so high because I'm not wasting my time playing video games.

 

Not really for the grade. Just because you didn't spend your time on games doesn't means you will waste it on studying. Beside one thing I hate about SG school is they are all memorizing stuff that are mostly unrelated to my life *AHEM social studies and History COUGH COUGH*. The fact is video games doesn't deprove your subjects just make the improving goes to a halt situation. Also, there are just way too many subject that studying alone doesn't really help like English. You might be wondering that whether I did study for my O'Lvl. The answer is mostly no because my memorizing suck but not good in studying doesn't means a complete idiot. Proven by my A1 in both A.math and E.Math (one hour of practise) and Combine Science (I m A1 potential of it with or without studying ). Sadly, this world is always 'fair', my uber triple A1 grade is brought down by my English's D7 (you are weak in it means you are, there is almost no way you can savage it unless you T'cher did a good job but for my case, she suck hard), Chinese's C5, Biology's D7 and Combine Humans's C6 (Memorizing again...)

I don't like the system either which is why I chose the acad stream. The only subjects I have problems with is Math and Chinese. The rest, I could score a decent A2 if I wanted to, but I never really had the motivation of having such grades. =/

 

The thing about english is that I have advantage the oral exams, I'm the only one in school who has a good accent (mixed american accent) thanks to Counter-Strike Source . 80% of the Counter-Strike Source players come from international schools in Singapore. So after one year of playing Counter-Strike Source with them and having conversations with them through the mic, I kinda got "ang moh". Its really cool everytime when I finish my Oral exams and the teacher asks "Are your parents american?".

o.O i think that's the first story i've heard of games helping someone XD pretty cool though o.O you can pick up accents from anywhere... though i can't see it being a perfect accent if you're only going by mic quality... really you need to speak in person for perfect clarity... >>;

Microphone quality through Counter-Strike Source is quite good. Anyway I didn't say perfect, its mixed.

i used to have a heavy irish accent o.O my best friend in school was irish and we used to hang out around gypsies a lot xD so i developed a heavy accent. took me years to get rid of it. and now i have a british accent >.<; and apparently a lisp too o.o; which i only found out about a couple of weeks ago when i bought a new mic and everyone was like "wow now we can clearly hear you... OMG LISP SO KYOOT!" XD which drives me nuts X3;

 

...it's not even a major lisp. it's a tiny bearly noticable one .-.
