I guess concept would work, but it would just be a more neutral word for issue which comes with controversy undertones. Since this video is (comically) attacking the new direction EA is taking, there is controversy as far as Zee Hypnotist and anyone that agrees with the message of his video are concerned.

 

 

By the way, Zee, as much as I frown upon the rep system, I frown upon EA taking Generals 2 C&C2013 Free to Play even more. So you earn a +1 from me.

On an agreeing note, yes, this is an issue. It damn well better be an issue for EA, because they're finding new and innovative ways to piss off their fanbase.

I doubt this will be the case, but I get the idea. If that's how EA approaches the situation, the game will be bad but if they avoid power creep and the "pay to win" scenario, the game a chance of being something special. It might be MP only but that's fine if the game is fun.

I'm disappointed at how many views and likes this video has received in less than 24 hours over every Lego video I've ever made. It's been 14 hours and I already have over 200 likes and almost 2000 views. Peh.

 

To keep in mind, though, this is more than just the play 2 win concept I'm judging here. I'm also pointing out the fact that EA doesn't listen to suggestions, and their work in general in terms of C&C is pretty piss-poor as of late anyway.

Except I'm not wrong. On some accounts, the things I'm expressing are already happening. The portion about EA ignoring suggestions and feedback entirely, for instance. The part of EA buying out good gaming companies. The part about them not including singleplayer in their game being a standard RTS feature. Some things, sure, the P2W factor might not be a hard hitter, here, but I'd be far from surprised if it is exactly what the game turned into.

I was initially upset also but now I am coming round to the issue. I have a credit card free to play doesn't both me at all. AND the game will get the support and hopefully the numbers it deserves from this free to play model.

 

The lack of players on RA3 was and is huge IT SUCKS and RA3 is such a good game and all you want to do is let people see it's greatness but all you get is 'but it's EA Blizzard is making blabla' hopefully free to play HAS a decent download size 4-5 gigs, we need maps, we need units, we need good graphics for a 2012 game and perhaps most importantly A HUGE INFLUX of players playing true CNC style strategy games.
