I don't give a **** about politics here in New Zealand. So I feel the same aboat US politics. They are all just a bunch of bull****, propaganda spewing con artists.

There hasn't been much news about the Twisted Insurrection mod for Tiberian Sun in recent times. Despite real life issues taking priority, the team have been hard work and have new stuff to show. And that starts now with this great looking cinematic of the GDI logo to be used for campaign purposes. Watch the video above.

Kanes Wrath CNCNZ.com Poll: Kane's Wrath Sub Factions
Sonic posted a topic in Command & Conquer News
It has been a long time since we last changed the poll topic so lets get them started again. The new poll question is What is your favourite sub faction in Kane's Wrath? Are you loyal to the Brotherhood with either the Black Hand or Marked of Kane, perhaps your a GDI traditionalist so the Steel Talons or ZOCOM is more to your liking. Or do you favour the Scrin Reaper-17 and Traveller-59 sub factions. To vote in this poll you need to be on the main page of our site, and cast your vote in the poll box on the right side bar. You can also check the the current results in the Poll Archives. And, as always, don't forget to share any feedback or comments about this poll as well. Now to the results of the previous poll, Which of these standalone C&C indie FPS games do you play the most? 41% of the voters said they haven't played any of them, followed by Renegade X with 32%. Full results can be found in the Poll Archives. -
For Music Monday this week, Grinder from the Red Alert 2 soundtrack has been selected. Grinder is heavy and hard hitting track, like many of the tracks for Red Alert 2. The constant hammering bass beat never lets up. Some interesting voice samples are mixed in during the intro. The beat to Grinder has been stuck in my memory for many years now. So it was refreshing when Frank Klepacki gave us an updated version, , for Red Alert 3. A new track will be posted next Monday. Share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.

Throwback Thursday Throwback Thursday for 25th February
Sonic posted a topic in Command & Conquer News
Throwback Thursday returns this week with a new logo and one of the big surprises in Red Alert 3 from 2008. Complete the Allied campaign in Red Alert 3 and you're treated to a cameo appearance by the one and only David Hasselhoff. From a guy who drove around in a cool black talking car, to a California lifeguard surrounded by beautiful women, he ends up being the Vice President in a video game. While it was a surprise to see "The Hoff" appear in the game, it really shouldn't have been. Anyone remember the insanely funny video series he did to promote Red Alert 3? Hmm... that's good RTS! Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We also encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT. -
It's Music Monday time once again, where we share our favourite tracks from the archives of Command & Conquer soundtracks. This week's selection is "Pharotek" from the Tiberian Sun soundtrack. Composed by Jarrid Mendelson, this one is has a strange and sometimes haunting sound, but totally fits within the atmospheric theme that the Tiberian Sun soundtrack is based around. A new track will be posted next Monday. Share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.

This week's selection for Music Monday is one of my all time for favourites. Its "Stomp" from C&C Renegade. A hard hitting piece of music, almost like it was written for a different game. That's because it was. "Stomp" was originally intended to be used in Tiberian Sun but it didn't fit in with the more atmospheric theme of the soundtrack. Long time C&C fans will remember hearing it for the first time in trailers for Tiberian Sun. It was later resurrected for C&C Renegade, fitting in seamlessly. A new track will be posted next Monday. Share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.

Throwback Thursday Throwback Thursday for 18th February
Sonic posted a topic in Command & Conquer News
The focus for Throwback Thursday this week looks back at the GLA's Super weapon from Command & Conquer Generals in 2002. The Scud Storm fires 9 missiles onto the targeted area, which randomly strike anything in a wide radius. These missiles not only explode with devastating force, but also leave behind deadly clouds of toxin that will damage any vehicles and kill any infantry that try to enter the target area after the attack. A truly devastating weapon for a devious GLA commander. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. What are warning points and how does it work?
Sonic replied to CyberFaction's topic in Site / Forum News & Discussion
Warning points are given to people who break the forum rules. A moderator or admin may decide the amount to give to a particular member if he/she feels the infraction warrants it. If a member reaches a certain amount of warning points they could be banned. Only you and the mod/admin team can see your warning points. You can't see other members warning points. They are rarely given out any more. I can't remember the last time I had to resort to such an action. -
Throwback Thursday Throwback Thursday for 11th February
Sonic posted a topic in Command & Conquer News
Throwback Thursday this week goes back to Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight from 2010, and more specifically the not so epic conclusion to the Tiberium saga. It's clear that not much time was invested in crafting the storyline for Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight but surely they could have come up with something better than Kane stepping into a swirling purple Scrin portal and vanishing. This cheap and lame ending also left us with even more questions, who was Kane? Was he human? and sadly we will never get answers to these questions. This is just one of the disappointing parts of Tiberian Twilight. -

This topic will be listing the current issues with the site and/or forums, problems that are being worked on and efforts we have taken to solve them. [RESOLVED] 08/12/2015 - Forums Can't Send E-Mails This has now been fixed. All e-mail notifications should now be working. New users registering should also receive the validation e-mail. ---- Original Issue ---- The forums can't send notifications e-mails or e-mails to verify new members or changes to your account. This is currently being investigated. [RESOLVED] 08/12/2015 - Problems When Editing Topic's Title from Full Editor This issue has now been fixed. ---- Original Issue ---- There are currently configuration problems on our server that is effecting our forums. At times you may have problems when editing a topic's title when using the Full Editor (not the Quick Editor). This is currently being investigated. [NEW] 17/09/2015 - Broken Navigation Menu on iPads/Tablets We have discovered that the main navigation menu doesn't work or display correctly when browsing the site on on iPad or tablet PC. This is currently being investigated. [RESOLVED] 16/04/2015 - Forum Links Redirecting from Search Engine/Social Network Links This issue has been resolved. More details. ---- Original Issue ---- For the last few weeks we have been battling a problem were links from search engines or social networking sites to our forums get redirected to some spam rubbish spam site. The problem very random and doesn't happen to everyone. If it does happen to you please close the browser window immediately, you can safely click the same link and it won't bother you again, but it can happen again the next day or after a 12 hour period of time has passed (I think). Other than you seeing happen it does not comprise your forum account here or your computer. I have been actively trying to find ways to remove this but it keeps coming back. Normally such issues are not discussed publicly but I felt it was important to inform you all of this problem. It is the nasty work of the internet spammers out there, it is not us attempting to gain gain easy money by flooding the site with advertising. We hate it as much as you probably do. It should also be noted this problem only happens on the forums. Not our main site. [RESOLVED] 12/06/2015 - Slow Loading on the site and Forums at Times Since we have moved to some new hosting this should no longer be a problem. Considered fixed. ---- Original Issue ---- This one is hard to solve but I'm exploring some options. At random times you may experience slow loading of the site and forums. It is mostly due to high traffic on our server. Unfortunately there is not much that can be done about this at this time other than to endure it. Like you I find it hard to work with but it out of my hands for the foreseeable future.

I don't comment in news topics but I'll make expection here. The image in question is called "Monolith Desert", made by someone on DeviantArt http://wildweasel339.deviantart.com/art/Monolith-Desert-346162191 So nothing special really. A simple Google image search will find the image https://www.google.co.nz/search?tbs=sbi:AMhZZivM4b1IM653EIJo9QbrHoeedhI-_1Iw_1DPjj9erI-21qj-ZfDkfMCjXssIgfIPWtqp90LfDBgDTQzzBN-jg09cEBl-72X5B7uF93aWYovwBOpfUSKdkpLzBHKk4K4ZLjpDhSLBdZ2KxjxOLi2p5U3IrWnupOJIvzrtf7AqxF6kxuLNs_1jpXJ3DJwSPku2RCr_1CrtLfe57gjE6xU3g71T0frK4YPgCgC4SJbZKL_1PfvV-bS7_1vk5ju6ynXVsuAx_1S1T_10U0x7x7PSd2SZ3lwJx0L-y124cf079Q8E9L2ue70oPx8dmrVMcS1d5FECpIZhfrx_1mb8VaUbas4uxqd7FOCCErydsKAtO48SYcc62GxoDA4x45YXMRHqu44VCZsctkA_1ApZeiuZC9n-bnflFpqMZSVVX8NpExDQ6wNd0NhkRWwKuRbM8K1q0BUkaJWnWboDv2lfT9YudsFqvjINO22lgwudXuYTFOvaSE-yZJLTMW_1PMv92pfmdoIcjF7c91rKKY_1TRKCYJBFtYasxzRwuZoWaNEsw_1MS-nJxe9r_1a0wKSm6tYFtizzCSfk2OuxJEtrcIxlIE4_1Mobre-zOQucM8NBCBqp4d50uNeCOdtttWAk1p-qiSvZFdRhgxJJb3_1Z_12EZQ0TVUyIXTA63Vn3nN3xho_1fEaXpwY24NJKrXXNZi3KcryQWxptvcaW-U6iHWv0V0dMXBOYtdvmMnP_136fBDL1iKlfBvPmnvVwaoUrrE-hglMKU01EySBrtMeIiFpfxTmRhj1nYVHAokCb10cdXxCrsW2ZHsATEnxoQjUh-vca3BzgUAPJ1_1V4OHPM1Sso63nBZ_1yta2s-1Ew8KaqLQZhtkM2vEUe4JtEJnaxKgGi9H-4evIz99-nkRegWDYaaZDRXGy4e1CVEsF4QbixUVMGjhQWw5VvdERd9oCb1g18q7L3rtQWpztphKhfsrmkFhic9OMY1HSb9wc1GZzlaluA-KrtpOT3fXBA_1180jlryIiFS4fG0ExLEl1gnPA-pss4nLfnbrnKI5YBxKhcuV5x_1YYmrq-ZSShi9f8wi1jHWf-5ol_1hN46YoDpWruKWXLNz_1T5eCuoWQhlDGWZ4rgmbLNzkFIcA6ypNkBgKLhzuivklnLF01FUs5svZ14p_1DLA_146gUtHllnYzdFuAI4HUmUJ0NWwn6OA_19uDnIOL-mAdNTYLSIMeHxcjhPGKKtT9-XifJGirEji3oROTaH3A7iM64OvsC_1VTEkHNXBWFKW3uxeH5ptSQt4qD4ZZypYGsZFC3LXoGSSnU2f18L3hDAEbnwvX_1-5GT2Z93l7jrGWmeI5P-tFGgt4qHpOO-gnh13Kmh3MX7YgOk2thk37c3BM8emWDHkPGAl5QALWzidWajX_1hTUzpjKuLrjaS8oQoczm-HquvtugOmK_1Rx9bW-d9O5BLNWNPNHPWGZ5GiWgWhlhq9EY-A6k6ReQqckGWPCJt66siE8xZQPDXW28EKwzdQ-M0rQ&hl=en-NZ Gee, when I saw all the replies to this topic I thought you guys were talking about the tournament that this news topic is about And technically speaking, this topic is way off topic as per the news forum rule http://forums.cncnz.com/forum-27/announcement-12-command-conquer-news-forum-rule/ -
I'm certain I replied to this .... guess I didn't oh well. Anyway. So you think the gradient image doesn't look right? Should it be changed?

Going to see Deadpool on Friday night, so looking forward to it. Anyone else planning to see it in the new few days?

It's time one again for Music Monday, we started this new feature last week, sharing our favourite tracks from the archives of Command & Conquer soundtracks. This week, another personal favourite of mine, "Prepare for Battle" from the Command & Conquer soundtrack. An epic sounding track that starts out as an instrumental piece, by the 1.23 mark, its all heavy guitar riff kicks in! This is how soundtracks for RTS games should be made. One of the coolest things about "Prepare for Battle" is the fact that Frank Klepacki gave us a new version of it called from the Universe at War: Earth Assault soundtrack. A new track will be posted next Monday. Share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.

Yes they used to be different. I changed the header bar background to the current image about 2 weeks before Christmas actually. It was so minor I didn't bother mentioning it.

Some new gameplay footage of the Red Alert 2 mod for OpenRA has been posted. It is still a work in progress, the video is from a development version. There are still many missing and unimplemented features but what is demonstrated looks very impressive. Check it out in the video above.

LeBron is actually an above average free throw shooter to be honest. Career .744 (74%). I'd say he didn't even notice the old dude there.
