I hear more and more stories about bull**** copyright claims on YouTube. The whole situation getting out of control. AngryJoe has made video about it in the past. Such as this one...

A version of the trailer everyone can watch... So I'm guessing this Star Trek is set in the rebooted/alternate "Kelvin" timeline.

Sonic replied to Doctor Destiny's topic in Command & Conquer: General Discussion
Some cool stuff in there. I've often thought of hunting down a lot stuff like this myself but I have no where to store or display any of it. -
C&C Music Monday is back again this week with another fan made remix of a classic Command & Conquer song. This week we feature a remix of "Valves" by Matt Majcan. The original is of course by Frank Klepacki. Also note, I did not have the time to give this video the full C&C Music Monday intro this week. Don't forget to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.

Some great promotion for the team at W3D Hub. They have been featured in a large article on Kotaku UK. Despite a few inaccuracies that are mentioned in the article, it's great to the Command & Conquer name on a major gaming publication. The article talks about the history of C&C Renegade and W3D Hub's current projects. Here's a sample. You can read the full article on Kotaku UK for more. Also check out the post on the W3D Hub forums.

I've used many Adata products over the years. The SSD of course, an SD card for a Sony Cybershot camera. An old computer I had years ago used Adata RAM. Never had an issue with any of them.

IPS4 Various Forum Changes / Updates / Additions

Can't really change that. This because the code the creates the colours for the user group colour essentially overrides the the default link colour and hover styles. It was the same on the IPB3 forums as well. -

If your new to using Worldbuilder, meaning you never used the C&C Generals/Zero Hour Worldbuilder, it is recommended that you start by reading through the detailed help file the is included with the download of the C&C 3 Worldbuilder. To access this detailed help file browse to the following folder on your computer, assuming you installed C&C 3 to is default location and you have already downloaded and installed the C&C 3 Worldbuilder: There is also the C&C 3 Worldbuilder read me file that has some important info as well: -
I've used a 24" ViewSonic VA2448 since December 2012, works great, zero problems. I also have an Adata SSD. Again no problems. Just because they are cheaper brands it doesn't make them rubbish.

Yes uninstalling the game and reinstalling the game from your RA3 DVD should sort out the problems. Don't forget to patch it with v1.12 http://www.cncnz.com/features/command-conquer-patch-centre/2/

IPS4 Various Forum Changes / Updates / Additions
Sonic replied to Sonic's topic in Site / Forum News & Discussion
Just tested that, I see what you mean. I think it's something the Chatbox author will have to look at. I will ask them about it. For now if you use the "&" symbol you will just have to fix it up yourself. -

Changed the colour of text in some areas from white to a shade of grey. Mostly on the main forum index and the text inside the Post Editor. -
30 ranks is plenty. We worked on this rank system for a few weeks (on and off). @Nmenth finalised the rank titles and counts, @Plokite_Wolf supplied all the images (They are from Tiberium Wars/Kane's Wrath). My part was to remove the old ranks and set up the new ones. I am considering an option for users to earn extra little awards or moved to a special group when the reach a certain positive reputation level. Just an idea.

Yeah I stand corrected. On closer inspection some are not displaying correctly. But viewing their profile page shows they are in the Veteran group. Its a minor thing, not a forum breaking bug.
-
I've just checked the profiles in the 1500 and 2499 post range. They all have the correct ranks and are in the Veteran Members group. All seems fine to me.

Old is new again with the announcement of StarCraft: Remastered. Releasing later this year. http://kotaku.com/blizzard-announces-starcraft-remastered-due-out-this-1793649497

Yes. 2500 is a lot, not many newer members will get there. 1500 is probably a bit high as well, but I see it as a sort of halfway point.

The latest release of OpenRA has just release and it's available for download now. This is the most recent stable release, almost half a year has gone by since the stable version. As usual, this new release brings with it changes to the balance of both the Red Alert and Tiberian Dawn mods, as well as a huge number of new and overhauled multiplayer maps. In addition, it contains the following major fixes and features: HiDPI font rendering for players with high resolution displays. Fixes for several multiplayer bugs that could stall or crash games when a player disconnects. The Red Alert “shell map” background is now muted. New behaviour for the Red Alert Gap Generator and Tiberian Dawn Obelisk. Fixes for asset installation on 32 bit operating systems and from the original RA95 CDs. Visit the OpenRA site now for the download.

Our new forums are sort of the same, but they are really different than before. There are many new features for our members to discover. Perhaps you have found them all already. For those who haven't, I will highlight a few of them in this topic. This is based on my experiences with the new forums. New Posting Options The post editor is leaps and bounds ahead of the previous one. Its rather powerful now. Posting an image or video - Just copy and paste the link to your image into the editor box, the forums will display it for you. For images, you can double click on them to get all sorts of extra options. You can share content from the likes of College Humor, Facebook, Flickr, Gfycat, Google+, Hulu, Instagram, SoundCloud, Spotify, Ted, Twitter, Vimeo, Vine, YouTube, and internal links to content within our forums. If you paste in a link to share or embed the forums will by default automatically display the content. Just as you paste the link you will get a small prompt at the bottom of the post editor asking if you want to display the link instead. You can type the shortcuts for emoticons, the actual images will appear in the post editor as you type. Quoting other posts is easier now. You can still click on the Quote link or MultiQuote button (plus icon). A new way is highlight a selection of text and you will see a small prompt appear just above your selection asking you to "Quote This". Click on this and the quoted text appears in the post editor at the bottom of the page. Quick Tip: When you quote some text is best to leave a break (empty line) below the quoted text box. Make things easier to read. If you paste text with any extra formatting in it you will get a small prompt at the bottom of the post editor asking if you want to remove the formatting. As you type another members name start with "@" symbol before their name. You will be prompted with a sort of auto-complete menu to enter their full name. This will also highlight their name and they will get notified of your reply. See below. Press and hold the CTRL key and right click in the post editor on various elements like quote boxes, images to get more options. Remember, there is no "code" or "source" editing mode in the post editor anymore. [NEW] When viewing a particular forum, hover your mouse pointer over a topic link for a quick preview of the first post or latest post. [NEW] If you want to add the name of a Command & Conquer game as a topic tag, just start typing the first few letters of the name and you can finish it by selecting the complete name from the list that appears. Notifications There are improvements to the notifications system. The original system is still present of course. Here's a summary of the new features. It is up to you to enable or disable any notifications as you see fit. Browser notifications. If your browser is open but you not on our forums you will get a notification appearing in the bottom right corner alerting you to something. Only Chrome and Firefox support this feature I think. You can get notifications when someone "@" mentions your name in a topic. Main Index Sidebar We have changed the sidebar since the previous version of the forums. There is now two topic feeds. The first one shows the latest news topics posted in the Command & Conquer News forum. The second one is the latest topics from all of the other forums. Calendar events will appear only when they are approaching their specified date. Status Updates no longer show. Since we have the Chatbox we see them as irrelevant. You can use them, they appear on profile personal feed and the Activity section. Chatbox [NEW] You can reply directly to another user's entry in the Chatbox by left clicking on their name. Miscellaneous Stuff When you click on a topic to read, all unread posts appear below an orange line. Check out the Staff page for an expanded view of the team who runs our forums. Thats just some of the new features and things since our new forums have arrived. This will be update as more things to mention are found. If you know of something or have a problem with something else please post about it here. We need your feedback all of the time to make things better on the forums.
