Special Future Tech Announcement

Recommended Posts

In an original move, EA have announced that FutureTech Corp, a fictional arms manufacturer from Red Alert 3, will be unveiling "one of their never before seen designs". This adds more fuel to the notion of EA releasing an expansion to the already successful Red Alert 3 sometime later this year.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have some breaking news.

And just when you thought the scientific geniuses at FutureTech Corp were done spending your hard earned tax dollars, along comes this image from one of their top-secret designs. Unfortunately we don’t have the full sketch yet to reveal to you, but we've been informed that CommandandConquer.com will be the first place FutureTech will unveil one of their never before seen designs. We're not sure what prompted the corporation to suddenly shed light on their top-secret projects, but I am sure we will all find out soon.

Stay tuned for further immediate developments in this FutureTech breaking news story, only at CommandandConquer.com.

You can see the announcement on the official C&C site right here. So with that, let the speculation begin!

I'm so shocked by this! Who could have expected it? An expansion? No way...

Seriously though, if they start things off with a FutureTech gimmick, I think we will be in for another wave of marketing not unlike the one before. :ra3:

I have to say though, that the EA marketing machine is one of the best in the gaming industry though. They might let on a little bit too much info for their own good but you can't say you're note kept up to date. :)

If only all of EA was as good as their marketing department... :o

So what shall this weapon of mass destruction be? I'm thinking an Allied unit obviously, most likely involving some kind of Chrono mechanic, and its a land vehicle. :)

The partial image is the concept art for the Chrono tank... originally left out of the original game because of balance reasons... EA have obviously come up with successful counters to this weapon for the other factions.

Then the C&C franchise would have evolved by now, and we would probably be on the verge of World Peace. Other similar reasons have unfortunately been censored for my benefit! ^_^

I have to admit though that quote would make a damn fine separate topic lol.

It had better, given that announcements on Uprising are popping up all over the place.

Nope it isn't german sites have information on the "addon" (like the link above and the other german sites say its stand alone and singleplayer only => booster).

one bonus campaign centered on the origins of the Empire of the Rising Sun’s commando Yuriko

I think a few people will be glad for that...

Personally, I couldn't care less, but whatever, I'll play it anyway.

Yeah, I was pretty happy to see that. They REALLY needed some plot with her.

Also, it says it's hitting stores in March. Kind of early, I think... Remember Kane's Wrath, EA?

Edit: Now even Gamespot announced it. It's the basically same thing + the picture Lauren posted.

Edit 2: And now GiantBomb has an article on it. EA needs to get on the ball! The game is announced before they've even acknowledged its existence!

Mini-campagn equals how many missions do you think? 3? 5?

Downloadable expansion pack equals what price?

Standalone mission pack - If it's cheaper and has all the original units - why bother the original?

Is Original compatible with Expansion? Probably not.

I'm not sure how well they can pull off a yuriko origins 'campaign'. A series of FMV would be great though. I guess we get an actress finally too...

Sigh... another expansion from the allies point of view. Couldn't at least the three factions have extensions to their victories, at least for variety.

Despite any perceived negativity above, I'm excited and looking forward to the next edition. I like the SP Challenge modes especially.
