My WoW-playing friend dropped out of college because it was interfering with his WoW time. His obsession with that game was and still is pretty bad.

 

When I first got Renegade onto a decent internet connection, I would play it all day long, but even then, it wasn't an obsession.

Meh, i'll never understand the (apparently) 85% of the world's population who play it. I've been and played Guild Wars for a while - it got boring FAST.

Tell me about it. I know two people that play the game a minimum of ten hours per day, and often go up to 17 or 18 hours daily.

Obviously not a real statistic. If it's world population, I'd put the number around 14%.

 

It'd be cool if a (the next?) C&C game could become even half that popular... but I don't have that much faith in EALA.

Well i did hear it from a fellow WoW player, so of course i'm skeptical.

 

I also point at Raj Joshi's (Bleeped) comments as proof its close to being offically announced, whatever this new CNC game is.

Hmm...I'm up for anything. Except another Red Alert game I wouldn't want two in a row. But anything else.

 

It could very well be a Free-2-Play thing, considering what they're doing with Battlefield Heroes, and the massive hype that has already (I'm in the beta ). I would definitely play a C&C game Battlefield Heroes style.

And I've managed to find another person who worked on C&C 4, as well as get some more evidence for my previous proposed timeframe for C&C: Arena. I still think it's a code-name for a C&C that's been released, but I think C&C 4 is in at least pre-development.
