Tiberian Twilight Revealed as Command & Conquer 4 Subtitle

This news has just come in via our man in the field, Koen, who is at CommandCom in Germany, bringing us the very latest. And just as we reported yesterday, the subtitle name for Command & Conquer 4 has been revealed. And that name is Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. This name has been such a popular name for many years now and I guess its great to see that its finally going to be officially used now.

 

I can honestly say I never expected them to pick the name Tiberian Twilight. I'm sure EALA have some reasons why, with any luck they will share those reasons with us soon.

But I guess the above excamation would be open to interpretation. I'm not sure whether to be sarcastic of this fan-****, they actually used "Tiberian", who knows, all the recent fan-**** ("Tiberium", TS-era units) leads me to suspect that EA hopes to make up for the fact that it's no longer C&C as we know it or truly be surprised that EA actually used that name.

It's highly possible because mainly for the fans, and perhaps more fitting with the secret story plot Sam Bass is working on. Damn this is so good to be true.

ok there is no magical reason why EALA choose that name!

 

after the huge negative feedback from the people that they are not Keeping anything classic from the Tiberium Universe, it was the ONLY choice for them!

 

by selecting TiberiAN and Twilight it was the answer to all old CnC veterans (like me) that miss certain Westwood days.

they are saying "Hey Dues we will try to make this a worth CnC game title and we honor all the previous games and the veterans and the fans, and we want them to try to see how things will come to en end"

 

TiberIAN is the best move in order to stop the flames about EALA killing the Westwood Spirit and stuff like that.

I am not that huge suprized i think this was just the Smarter choice to satisfy the huge ammount of fans that was unhappy so far and try to gain their respect/trust again.

However, from the perspective of the entire C&C community, it seems that the majority wanted it Tiberian Twilight, so majority wins.

I feel stupid. This was my only chance to get a beta and I spelled it wrong: Tiberan Twilight. So no beta for me I've Been a fan since 1995, and I didn't get any special e-mail. Life sux

Yeah I've seen a few posts on the Official Forums. Of course they don't like the name, because EALA picked it. Don't forget there are still many people who can't let go that Westwood is gone and EALA is the C&C developer now.

I sent in "Tiberian Eventide" as a suggestion. It has basically the same meaning, but more original and surprising than "Tiberian Twilight." I'm satisfied with "Tiberian Twilight" though. I think it fits since like twilight is the end of the day, so is "Tiberian Twilight" the end of the Tiberian storyline (lol obvious explanation is obvious).

 

 

Just as long as people don't start referring to it as "Twilight" since there's another famous but inferior series entitled that...
