How is everyone? I just wanted to say thank you for this thread and thank you from every piece of my heart for the last 6 years. Sonic and team have done an amazing job keeping this site fresh weekly, and its become a leader amongst the C&C community. My choice was difficult, but I know Goodman will my shoes with pride.

I think that it is because those patches will cost them money but doesn't get them any profit.

Blizzard isn't getting any profit either, but they still do it.

 

Their community manager said the latest Diablo II patch will not be the last either and they plan to keep supporting the game even after Diablo III is released.

 

I kind of wish APOC would take the time to respond to some of the things DD said though... defend EA, or himself, or admit he is the antichrist, or something.

After Apoc left EALA, the official CNC forums have changed a lot lately and EA_Goodman hired several new moderators that are out of the picture. Fortunately, I can tell Goodman and his commanders barely know much about C&C. Now I wonder if Sam Bass, Jason Bender and Jim Vessella are still in EALA.

It's because there are some CNC fanboys criticizing them. Goodman and his new staff weren't involved in C&C until now and now they have to get used to it.

Well, sadly it's part of his/their job. There will always be some punks whining no matter what. On the other hand, that's fair enough, since someone has to poke a little to get things rolling. It doesn't have to be unreasonable or just for the mocking though.
