Meaning of your username

This thread title started off in the original C&C forums, but I think this discussion may be a little different here, so abide by the forum rules.

 

For this basic question, what is the meaning of your username here on the forums, and also how did you come up with it?

Hah, I think this thread has been here about twice before. Still an interesting concept, I think.

 

I started here under two different usernames (for about two weeks), I guess. Then I switched to The Hypnotist, because at the time, I was really into the concept of hypnosis. I learned a lot about it, watched some shows on TV, idunno, I was hooked.

 

Over time, because this was about 2006 and the internet was L337 and k3wl, I at one point asked to change the "the" to "zee," and the rest is history. Back then zee replaced the quite often in humorous online speech, so, I guess you could say the "meaning" of my name is that I'm a french hypnotist, or a mid-2000's internet savvy one.

 

As a result, most, if not all people who have known me through the years, have gone from calling me "hypno" to calling me "zee."

Plokite = name of a neighbourhood in my hometown where I used to live. (pronounced Plo-kee-teh, not Plowkyte like NSG did in CBCPT Ep. 2)

Wolf = I adore wolves. The first three letters of my surname, "Vuk", means "wolf" in English. I also like drawing them, as you might have gathered.

 

My original net name was Wolfis_52 (dunno why I added the "is" suffix), which can still be seen on Filefront sites, but when I started joining other websites, such as CNCNZ and deviantART, I thought I'd make my net name more unique, completely unshared.

Doctor Destiny is an obscure reference to a Calvin & Hobbes comic strip. I am not named after the supervillian from DC Comics.

 

My two prior names, Fenring and Beowulf, both come from the Dune series of books. Fenring from the original series and Beowulf from the newer one.

Jehal came from a name generator in the user intranet system back when I was at Electrician school.

The system basically took the first 2 letters of ones first name and put it together with the first 3 letters of ones last name, and if someone else was already named that, a number would apply at the end (ex: Putis2).

It creates a short and in most cases easily pronounceable alternative nick name from pretty much any regular name (try your own ).

So through the various educations I've been through, people sometimes get referred to by their system name. Jehal just stuck with me.

Tore is a variant of the name Tor, which is the name of the Norse God of Thunder.

 

Both are fairly common Norwegian names and it just happens to be my real name. It can be spelled Thore just like Thor, but both of those spellings are uncommon these days.

 

I'm really imaginative with my user names, am I not?

we for me my name is a bit obvious as i am a huge fan of RA1 it has been my gamer tag for a very long time, and i now use a shortend version as my DJ name. and spelling it wrong was intentional as well, but hay most of you guys know my spelling is horrible.
