Luk3us 63 Posted October 6, 2004 So like what one do you use? Sorry if I didn't list your's. Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted October 6, 2004 I vote for Internet Explorer, plain and simple. Opera is good too by the way, sometimes I used it. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted October 6, 2004 I have to use Netscape.. Internet Explorer crashes on mine all the time and I dunno what's wrong with it... All others I've tried, i just don't like or because they use files from Internet Explorer, they have the same problem.. ok Netscape sucks but it does the job. Yes I've tried reinstalling Internet Explorer, Yes I've re-installed windows... but whatever the problem is it isn't file related, my IE is just so unstable I cannot use it, and if I can I can't close or minimise the damn window without bringing up the task manager to shut it down manually!! Damn Microsoft! Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted October 6, 2004 I use Internet Explorer, yeah its full of security holes and has its problems. Never crashes for me though. Since I have SP2 installed Internet Explorer feels different to me, the addition of the much needed pop up blocker is most welcome. They could have added tabbed browsing though, thats the only feature of Opera I liked when I tried it but I don't like having banners displaying on the browser toolbar. Perhaps Internet Explorer 7 will have tabbed browsing, when ever that gets released  Share this post Link to post
Phreakly 0 Posted October 6, 2004 Firefox has tabbed browsing, and it blocks pop-ups better than IE's blocker does. There are no ads, and it's pretty smooth. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted October 6, 2004 Netscape's an OK browser; it's definately better than IE. I use Firefox. I used to use Opera but Firefox loads faster because it doesn't have any of that random mail software crap on it. Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted October 6, 2004 Firefox is nice, but it's just loading so slow... and if I open something in a new tab, then it will 'block' the other tabs until it has finished loading. And with open new window it opens too fast - I don't want to see it then yet. Internet Explorer just loads so fast because it's tightly integrated into Windows Share this post Link to post
Thierry 0 Posted October 6, 2004 IE for me, and the SP2 pop-up blocker is nice too Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted October 6, 2004 You know I've nver tested how CNCNZ.com looks in Netscape/Mozilla. I shudder to think about it really... it probably looks awful. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted October 6, 2004 No different in netscape to be honest.. Netscape has come along way since the old terrible days... I quite like this, it has tabbed browsing, so it's perfect for the news posting on the main page. Share this post Link to post
Area 0 Posted October 7, 2004 I cant stand IE, I get so much spyware and crap from it, plus ever since I got this crummy WebRebates virus it runs slow, even though I've since removed it. I like Firefox, or Opera, both are really good browsers. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 7, 2004 I use IE. I don't really like it. I prefer firefox. To be honest I switch randomly... Netscape is the worst browser ever created in my opinion.... Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted October 7, 2004 CNCNZ works perfectly in Firefox, except the links are slightly off (they are always underlined). CNC Community actually displays better in Firefox than IE Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted October 7, 2004 CNC Community actually displays better in Firefox than IE It looks mighty fine in IE... so it looks even better in Firefox !? Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted October 8, 2004 It looks mighty fine in IE... so it looks even better in Firefox !? If someone posts a large image (more than 425 pxls wide) IE flips out and stretches the page miles, but Firefox handles it perfectly. Share this post Link to post
Hans5849 0 Posted October 9, 2004 i didn't vote but once MS wises up and adds tabbed browsing IE will be the ****. Netscape sucks, Period Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted October 9, 2004 I cant stand IE, I get so much spyware and crap from it, plus ever since I got this crummy WebRebates virus it runs slow, even though I've since removed it. The sypware really sucks, it slows down the comp, but there is an anti-sware programs at the .net, quite usefull to prevent being "spied" Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted October 9, 2004 I use IE all the time. Its immunized by SpyBot. I don't any spyware. Well thats not true, I do get the non-harmful tracking cookie files from banner ads, SpyBot and Ad-aware clean those up for me. SpyBot has to be one of the best free programs, everyone should have a copy of it installed! Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted October 9, 2004 Yup, spyware problems can be solved by SpyBot. Share this post Link to post

Unfourtnely it removes my useful cookies too. (Remembering passwords etc) Share this post Link to post
