don't even start on teh disney @_@ *curls up in a corner, rocking back and forth whispering "there's no place like Excel Saga... there's no place like Excel Saga..." over and over in her typical fangal way upon being reminded of the existance of non-realistic CGI*

There is a difference between Disney cartoons, Disney for kids and the big Disney theme parks in Florida.

Cus I doubt a 3 year old would ride a rollercoaster

there is a major difference between Disney animation (which really has sucked lately) and its parks... Disney is an empire. It's pretty stupid of you to generalize. The parks are awesome.

...once again, i know the difference. i've been to florida and rode some of the roller coasters. it's just the word "disney" makes me think of the films first because we don't have the big-ass fancy roller coasters here, so they aren't well publicised. closest thing to that are the stuff at the theme parks an they are tame compared to florida's stuff...

Cmon, theme parks are boring, wow, you can go fast, spin around, even go upside down! amazing, im so impressed. (not)

Cheap thrills is what you get from theme parks, nothing but cheap thrills.

All i know is that nothing beats the adrenaline rush you get from an ice cold cup of fear.

Its not every day you get the rush of a roller coaster. May I present an alternate for those of you who dont like 'em

BMX OR Mountain Bike racing. Or if you are eligible, apply for the RAF, USAF, NZAF, or what ever's closest to you.

(i could get you a lot of proof here ranging from signitures of people around my area who agree to voice samples from hidden tape recorders) and i've said the F word maybe once or twice. and i blipped it ^^; so sure it my not be perfect language to you but in my area, i am one of the prim and proper ones o.o

so much for the British and their language elitism

...and, by the way, King wasn't asking you to be "prim and proper." He was asking you not to cuss up a storm. Is it really that much to ask?

I don't understand what problem people have with swearing, you can't honestly tell me that it isn't common language nowadays. If this was a business meeting then maybe i could understand, but it is not, it is a group of young persons posting on a forum. Young persons swear often normally, so what is wrong here? Especially if it is blipped out.

Who decided swearing was wrong anyway?

Do any of you even know the origins of the F-word? Its not that bad really.

I'm an East End Cockney mate, born and bred in the most run down and gangster ridden part of London. My roots mean I swear a hell of a lot offline, but this forum is open to all people of all ages, and all generations. We have kept a strict language policy from the start and it will never change.

What I did today? I got back from an Army training facility, after Hiking around most of Ukriane. We only slept three hours and only get two truck rides.

P.S. The roots of F*ck, came from a scotish golf course from a drunk guy yelling "FOUR!" and "DUCK!" at the same time.

Yes, and I've heard that it began as an acronym as well (For the Understanding of Carnal Knowlege). It's actually most likely derived from the German word "frichen," which means "to strike." All those theories and stories of where it came from are crap. Regardless, it now stands as a vulgar and offensive word that connotes explicit sexuality, and it just is not acceptable. I personally don't ever use it, even with my friends. There isn't any need for it... unless you lack the intellectual capacity to express yourself in another way

There is however the occasional lapse into temporary depression, especially when you have the crapiest day, and sometimes **** is the most appropriate way of uh...expressing yourself.

oh of course. It definitely has its place, but my point is that it shouldn't find its way into everyday language

Of course it (and others) have no place in everyday language. People just arent creative anymore. My 4 year old cousin knows quite a few "bad" words that I would never have thought she would have picked up. Just from hearing it once or twice on TV or where ever, she remembers them and used them. Not a lot, mind you, but on occasion we'll hear one from her and my aunt is always supprised, 'cause its ussually one she hasnt used before.
