This laptop breaks the computing technical laws for consumer electronics, Something this powerful would only be available to certain industrys for which they would be heavily restricted. Not only that but for something that powerful you'd probably be expected to pay about 30,000 New Zealand Dollars for that, and possibly even more!

Unless I'm mistaken, they obviously sell loads of these things since the site is basic, and they could probably only afford to get a chimp to do the HTML coding for that site.

What makes me laugh is the fact that it's bundled with a 1.3 MP CMOS Camera

Sounds like bullcrap to me, this is about 4-8 years ahead of it's time for the consumer market.

Lol, My friend has a laptop which has a Pentium 4 processor running at 3.0Ghz; it runs so hot and uses so much power that the battery only lasts a couple of hours, but it usually cuts out due to overheating before the battery runs out.

Simply put; that kind of rig is not possible in laptop format.

Lol...does a TB of RAM even exist yet..? lol, 2 gigs of RAM is enough for anything IMHO. No need for that amount.

couple of schools near me have those for the students, but its has been proven in studies that actually writing stuff down is better for your memory than typing and even tablet writing. Also the students tend to "abuse" the internet priveledges they have, and now most of the teachers dont even bother with trying to regulate it all.

Baaad move by that school.

Yeah you retain more from writing.. But then again that depends on the type of learner you are... Apparently I'm a kinaesthetic leaner. :D Which is the way to go. ;)

In my school, pupils who have dislexia are allowed to bring in laptops/notebooks etc. to help.

There are also laptops that the 6th form can use whenever you want. It's quite cool sitting on the cricket field in summer surfing the net :)

You can also bring in your own laptop if you really want to, but only the nerds do that.

The laptops are subject to the same proxy server as the PCs, so you can't abuse it.

my school has laptops, but they are 25 to a cart, 5 carts, and only available by request of a teacher for that class.

but all students have their own acounts on the school network and can login from any of the school PCs or Macs
