Tree 0 Posted September 16, 2005 I was reading Calvin and Hobbes the other day (C&H is an American comic that was published from 1980's- the early 1990's. Not sure if it was published internationally) and I came across a subject that I found interesting. Should cannibilism be grounds for leniency in muurder, since it's less wasteful? Just a thought. Doctor Destiny 41 Posted September 16, 2005 Calvin and Hobbes for teh win. But, uh, cannibalism is still murder so no... no leniency. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted September 16, 2005 No - a person is still killed, so it's murder....infact I think it should get a harsher punishment. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted September 16, 2005 A court would probably put you under the mental heath act for that particular country declaring you clinically and morally insane... Nothing like a good piece of crispy thigh over the camp fire Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted September 17, 2005 charged for murder, desecration of corpse/body, and being an utter and complete savage yup, thats bad. BTW Calvin and Hobes in runnin in the papers again, its a great comic strip Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted September 17, 2005 Well yes it is murder... So no.. But if they were already dead then I suppose it would be alright wouldn't it? Assuming the famliy didn't object? Share this post Link to post

chickendippers 1 Posted September 17, 2005 Well physically canabalism is fine, as long as you don't eat the brain - if you do you get an horrific condition. Share this post Link to post

Guest MadBadger Posted September 17, 2005 I do belive its only if the person whos brain your eating had a certain contition..... so most of the time the brains ok.... hanibal seemed ok.... if not him and the little kid on the plane are farked Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted September 17, 2005 eating cows is fine ,there are food animals :tired: but eating other humans..... i guess if you didnt know but.....not willingly Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted September 17, 2005 Human meat is supposed to be quite a delicacy, or so I hear.. It's just the morality surrounding it.... we were all like animals once... the human race had to survive somehow if hunting was not an option.. survival of the fittest afterall  Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted September 17, 2005 Eating the brain is bad for you. There's some African/South American tribe (I honestly can't remember which) which ate human brain as part of its canabal rituals, and loads of them developed what can only be described as mad cow disease! Saracen 16 Posted September 17, 2005 on the subject of eating strange body parts.. here's some facts... The Egyptians use ground up Monkey's Testicle as a great spice alternative to enhance the flavour of some of their foods. The Spanish have Bull's testicle as a main course in some restaurants. During bull runs in the summer it's been told that if someone manages to kill the bull, they get the dish free as a token. In many countries, eyes are a delicacy, ranging from fish eyes, up to the eyes of larger mammals... The same goes for brains. Personally, I'd rather go no further than liver and onions.. :? Acerz492 1 Posted September 18, 2005 :rockbrow: I thought we agreed on no more sheep jokes dude...lol... Anyvey, the whole "cannibilism with constent" issue is on the same grounds as assisted suicide. It's either: Help someone, with good intentions (if you're into the whole 'eating other humans' thang of course..) or become a target of the media and put under immense pressure. Personally if someone who wanted to die, who was going to die anyway, wanted me to kill them, I wouldn't bother. We had a case like that over here and now there's a big uproar about it. I don't need that kind of attention and predjudice. Come to think of it, "Cannibilism with Consent" and assisted suicide are almost the same... :? Share this post Link to post
