Its true the bullet hit the side of the cockpit and took the pilot out.

Alphas can take each other out. and Nuke migs too.

SEE TOLD U.....so in the realm of real-life probability......i'd say alphas can be taken down

now to answer the question in terms of zero hour....its more of a mathematic chance....with percentages and all that :P

bah your mathematics. Its about whos better.

One thing I hate is when you play a guy who has all of the stats memorized and can calculate everything all too acuratley. Expirience will do similar for you, you know what works and what doesnt ect...

Auroras (Alphas too) are 100% invincible before dropping their bombs. However, they do become vulnerable for a few seconds when they receive new commands, regardless if they are carrying a bomb or not. Personally, I think that the Aurora should be invincible while returning, not going to drop its payload. But that's just me.

EDIT: Sorry, this isn't 100% true; any superweapon/generals weapon or weapon in general that drops onto the GROUND and also has an air explosion can damage or kill them, regardless of state. EMPs can too, but ONLY the ones dropped from aircraft, not the missile ones.

if the bombs hit a cliff they will kill the Bombers

Not really. The bombs need to hit a building or some kind of obstacle to detonate. If they just drop them in a cliff, the bombs will go over the hill and still hit the target less its an Alpha wich WILL detonate the Fuel Air Bomb and possibly kill the 3rd

no i hade like 20 aortas and a building by a clif and the bomes hit the clif and killed 15 of me aortas and the building was fine

If the aurora can be hit before they hit their target, they're just overpriced crap then. ;)

/ well you're a smart one  /

I hit GeneralZ gat cannons a while back with Raptors, cept the cannons were on a cliff, so the missiles just hit the cliff and killed my raptors.f

Stupid pilots cant fly above the ground, they have to fly through it

Why would you have 20 auroras going for one target? Thats overkill.

Anyway, its time to end this Aurora conversation (if it hadn't already)

From experience, and the game manuel, I know that:

•Auroras in groups of 2 or more can be shot down going at super-sonic speed

•Auroras can be grounded by Super Weapons like the Particle Cannon. If you're good enough to forsight your opponents use of Auroras, their target and their flight path, and you can fire a Nuke in that time, then your an absolute nerd who is willing to waste a nuke. (Sorry, that was a bit much)

•Single Auroras can only be shot down ON THEIR WAYBACK. A good thing to do is obviously build some base defenses a little further out of your base outskirts, so the auroras can only be used once.

CASE CLOSED.

Badger, shush, please, for the love of god, shush.

Auroras aren't fair. Nothing more to it.

I think they are. I mean yes it hurts to get hit my them, but if you havent attacked your enemy's base by the time they have 8-40 Auroras (however many it takes to pwn you) then thats your fault for letting them get that much money and time to build them. They are useful tactical bombers, but when using them you cant just roll in and pwn like you can with a bunch of overlords (Gen only, ZH has far too many anti tak for that)

Just dont suk, and they wont be a problem :P

Adding to Badger's idea, drop an anthrax bomb on the airfield and ur opponent has a problem.

Overlords are too slow, I like the fact u can own someone in twenty seconds instead of twenty minutes.

And ur overlords on the ground arent much for a few fuel air bombs

OLs with Nuke Tank upgrades can go faster than the FAbombs can explode ;)

And if you dont suk, they wont be MOABing you

Use bms. Faster, cheaper, and by the time you have bought 1 over lord with gat cannon ($3200) you have 4 Bms, make it 3 overlords or 12 Bms with horder, I'll take the BMs.

thats why you have a gat tank for every 3-4 bms

and gat cannons around hte base help keep le comanches away

Then I'll still have some missile troopers ambushing your tanks!

If that doesn't work, I'll just carpet bomb the platoon.

If you are china esp. infantry general, build some helixes and build a bunker and load it with rocket lancher guys. Just beware of avengers and chain guns. Besides that, you should own with 5 or so full helixes.

Also, one comanche is no match for one gattling tank or one assault troop transport with rocket or gattling infantry with infantry general.

you shouldnt just send a mass of battlemasters anyway. keep an attack forced ballanced, at the least send some gat tanks with them.

Ill tell ya what.

I was up Vs some Stealth general who had loads of wars (i was vanila GLA).

We had played a 1v1v1v1v1v1 on Defcon 6 and it was just me and him left.

He kept sending waves upon waves of quads at me but i had a tunnel full of elite Marauders with the double barrel

Everytime he attacked and i killed his quads i took some more maruders and got some scrap for them.

bout 5 min later.

Sneak attack in his base and i just kept sending masses off 2 barreled marauders into his base :D

He droped an anthrax bomb on the lot of them  i lost about 40 or somink..... only a few elites near the tunnel survived.

in the end i won as my tanks were no match for his busses n quads (tanks had full ups with tox shells and Beta) my elite marauders just riped his busses open :P
