Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 24, 2006 "Patience, you must learn patience."-My little green friend Dman you King. The suspense will kill me, unless I kill it first. Time to chalenge it to a battle, FS, Cyborg Wars style 8) I dont like that inf pic, the helmet looks very...dumb. But the mech and the aircraft have my shoes tingling. I hope they draw some inspriation from a bit of the concept art for General Greivous (before they decided on the white death mask 4 armed guy, there were A LOT of options) for some of the Forgotten or cyborg infantry. Soo many possibilities. And King....grr. Share this post Link to post

Mighty BOB! 5 Posted April 26, 2006 Indeed most of this outburst of complaining is uncalled for. I'm glad they're continuing the Tiberian storyline. (ya think the game after this one will be RA3 or another Tiberian game?) There are a few things that don't mesh properly (heavily armored GDI guys with exposed heads) and some minor looking annoyances but they'll no doubt be smoothed out as development progresses. It is too early for any of what we've seen to be completely final. One nice thing about using (+ tweaking) an already existing engine is that more time can be put into fleshing out the game instead of building an engine from scratch. [Althought I wouldn't look foward to the system requirements ] Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted April 26, 2006 Ya see, you know what I noticed? An EA C&C member (Someone who started playing RA2 first) tends to worry about EVERYTHING and complain about EVERYTHING. Not all people do it, but, there are a lot out there. A Westwood C&C member (Someone who started with the very first or maybe at least RA1) does worry a lot. We do worry. But you know what we worry about? Not the game. Not EA. We worry if it will be out by Christmas, and whether we'll have to pay for the goddamn thing ourselves. Share this post Link to post

Cygnus X-1 12 Posted April 26, 2006 You were amused for two days?? You freaking Generals fanboy....  The first day I heard about it from my friend. The second day I played it at his house. Then I challenged him to a skirmish match, RA2 style. So we booted up RA2 (he has 2 comps to this day with awesome specs) and I proceeded to pwn0rz him with my lovely Apocs. Nice smiley :cnc3: as for complaining....I for one, am very very excited. Especially as the minimum specs for the game mean that I'll be spending every penny of my hard earned cash on a new comp. In theory anyway..... Share this post Link to post
Mr_Lee_ 0 Posted April 29, 2006 Well for the majority of us Veterans who have been here since 1997, we have no complaints. We're just very happy to have a sequal to Tiberian Sun after almost 7 years! This reeks of elitism and its really this elite attitude and is souring this site. You've become nothing more than pretentious and its really starting to wear thin. We're fans, as are you, and the fact of the matter remains that despite us all being Command and Conquer fans, there are the elite website owners etc who hold the hill above the normal fans. Either tell us what you know or don't tell you've got the knowledge, there's no need for this constant game of 'oh we know something'. Its pretentious bull****. People complain and criticise to improve things not to belittle them. I'm a bit sceptical of the reuseage of the SAGE engine, but feel that if the mileage is still there, then it should be used. I'm a bit critical of the second coming of Kane and the introduction of the Third Faction - wildcards can be good, but the Tiberian timeline really gave the impression that the Scrin would become an extension of the NOD. We're people and its our nature to improve, only a drone or an idiot refuses to help things improve. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted April 29, 2006 You know what Lee I'm really getting sick and tired of you coming here and ripping me to shreds on every single friggin thing I type on this site. I don't know what the hell your problem is, but what ever it is get it off your chest now and move on, or go and pollute a different site with your so called constructive flaming. I don't have time for your crap!! Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted April 29, 2006 Seriously... that wasn't at ALL elitism, and there is definitely a distinction between the loyal folks that stick with the series and the new kids who, more often than not, just flake off and float to the next bright shiny thing to grab their attention.
